1947 Chevrolet Other Pickups Description

For sale we have a 1946 Chevy 1 1/2 ton truck, which as I have been told the cab is interchangeable with the smaller pickups. I was told this was a one owner, and only had the title changed in '99 to change to antique. I purchased this truck from the original family that had homesteaded the farm I picked it up from. This set in the barn since '99 without being moved. I included an original pic of it sitting there although there wasn't much room to take a good pic. I had to buy this in a package with a couple old Willy's jeeps, the jeeps are what I'm into, that's why this is for sale.

This is probably the most original, honest old truck like this I have seen. The truck is rust free. There are a couple of dents on the truck, most noticeably the roof, and also where it appears our fine Kansas wind caught the driver door and banged it into the fender. These are in the pictures. It also has a couple unusual options/add ons. 1st of all is the cast aluminum valve cover, and it also has a remote opening gas cap, just push a button and it pops open. I put these in pics also. I didn't spend a lot of time cleaning this, but I did rinse it off and vacuum out the inside. We put a battery and some gas in it, and it fired right up. Runs well, and idles nicely. We got the brakes to pump up, but they are marginal at best. The tires are in good shape for their age, but keep in mind they are probably 50 years old. The output bearing is bad on the differential. This would be a very easy/cheap repair, but it's fine to drive on trailer or around lot, hated to fix it if someone just wanted cab. All the glass isvery good, no chips, breaks, or delamination. All cranks, latches, handles, etc work and the doors shut like new ones. The PTO works, and the bed goes up and down. All of the gauges work, temp, fuel, oil and charge. The odometer hassat in the same place for so long, the numbers have fallen off the reels so I can't read mileage. The number on the cowl is 5PW-1-3373 and the vin on title is S51551Kan.
