Mike's 1965 Impala Super Sport Convertible
Mike purchased the car in 1990 in very nice condition. We have the photos of the car when he first got it home from San Jose.
Right away, Mike decided he wanted it better. The first change was to put disc brakes on the front.
The over the next few years, came engine transmission rebuild (Turbo 350) and a lot of chassis cleaning, painting and new parts. Repaint, all new weather strips
An interior kit from Ciadella, with carpets, top and boot, well and trunk.
Rally wheels and the Radial T/A's and then onto more parts
Trim parts, clips, moldings, gauges, powder coating, even new correct seat belts.
ALL the receipts and photos along the way are with the car.
This is a NO RUST, California built Impala that has been carefully upgraded and restored by Mike's own hands for his personal enjoyment.
Mike's wife hopes the new caretaker will understand how much this car was a part of Mike's life and that it will receive the care and preservation that it deserves. Mike would be happy to know that the car is in the hands of the right conservator .
I have been a friend of Mike's and was the guy that found this car for him back in 1990. He and I went to get the car. I can tell you exactly when where and how the car progressed through the years.
Please understand this sale is not a dealer sale, never was for "resale" never intended to be sold after it was done. This was HIS "Forever Car" --
I can and will be happy to help transport or arrange pickup or even export of the car. Sure Hope the right person will take the car and give it the care Mike did.
