You are buying a used car. When we bought our Subaru last year the neighbor did not want to sell it to us because we are a neighbor. He did and we are happy. Almost immediately after the purchase I was working 150 miles away and had a mechanical problem. Because of a stuck piston I had to replace the front rotors, brakes and a caliper. The cost was $1,200.00 and three days lost wages. It is a car. We bought a good car and no we are not mad at the neighbor. It is a car.
