1967 Chevrolet C-10 Description

This is a very neat C10 short bed truck with some cool old school nostalgia.I started with a very solid 1 owner Arkansas truck. I have a copy of the title from original owner, owners manual and protecto-plate with warranty booklet.Truck was originally a 6 cylinder/3spdI replaced the drivetrain with a used 69 truck 396/400t combo, factory automatic column. The entire suspension was donated from an 86 c10, control arms, power steering, rearend etc.During the swap I replaced upper/lower ball joints,inner/outer tie rods, front brake pads/rubber lines, rear brake shoes/rubber line.I also installed 3" BellTech drop spindles/2" drop springs, rear got 3" drop springs/3"drop blocks, adjustable track bar. I made 3" blocks with offset holes to move the axle back and center wheels in wheel wells.Brand new 17/18 Riddler rims/tires.I pulled all of the interior out of the truck, I covered the floor and rear of cab with sound deadener(like dynomat) cleaned out gas tank, installed new carpet, gas tank is also covered in matching carpet, replaced new door seals, window run channels, window felts, window regulators, window crank handles, new door handles. The seat was covered in a new old school looking seat cover. Custom Autosound factory style stereo installed with auxiliary input, Custom Autosound kick panels with 6 1/2 Pyle component speakers with 1" tweeters. When the drivetrain was installed the engine got new valve cover gaskets, new motor mounts, all new hoses/belts,sending units/ thermostat/fuel pump/ fuel filter/plugs/wires/cap/rotor/throttle linkage, fresh fluids, new aluminum 3 core radiator, new battery cables, new engine wiring harness. The engine is used and was basically left alone other than a 750 Edelbrock with electric choke. It runs really good but does have some blow by and a lil bit of erratic wrist pin noise, nothing uncommon for an old 396, I wouldn't hesitate to drive it anywhere.400t shifts good and functions as it should with a new Lokar electronic kickdown unit.Brand new 2 1/2" exhaust was installed from manifolds all the way back with 1 chamber bullet mufflers(sounds awesome). The body was pretty much left alone also other than replacing the rocker panels and a new windshield/rubber seal. Inner rockers, floors, cowl, roof etc are very very solid, I wouldn't say rust free but way above average for one of these trucks. The right cab corner is a lil soft and the right fender has some rot down low under the battery like they all do. It had a repaint back to factory at one point in its life but was a long time ago and it definitely has some neat real deal aged patina to it. The color on the truck is Vermillion which from what I understand was a 67 only color and somewhat rare. When it was painted it must have had some hand painted pin striping done, most of it can still be seen and it is faded and weathered like the rest of the truck. You can't buy this kind of stuff or mimick it, it's the real deal!!The original owners must have had nicknames and they were also hand painted on the doors under the window, like they did back in the day Sandman on the drivers door, Beachnut on the passenger door, it don't get much better than that! The rear bumper is the original dealer installed step bumper with Hardcastle Chevrolet stamped in it which matches the documentation/info on the original Pretecto-Plate booklet. The truck runs/rides/drives great, I drive it as much as I can and I'm not afraid to go anywhere in it.All lights, horn, heater, wipers, dome light,speedometer/gauges etc work as it should. Brakes work good but are manual. It was built to be dependable and look like an old truck, nothing fancy, nothing shiny but a set of wheels, just a badass truck with an old crusty gun rack and some very cool original history that you can't buy or imitate. It takes a long time for a vehicle to develop this kind of character and I wish it could tell stories because I bet Sandman&Beachnut were quite a pair!!I have a clean/clear Missouri title in my name, the truck is licensed and insured and can be driven daily.I am happy to answer any questions that I can.
