1965 Impala 2-door coupe
1965 Chevrolet Impala ss Description
Up for sale is a Beautiful 1965 Impala 2 Door coupe. It has been restored as a Super Sport Tribute. When I got this car originally it was pretty rough. My main focus here was to have as Little BONDO as possible in this car. The car was Turquoise with green interior. It was also a Turbo 400 automatic.I have replaced both rear quarter panels, a right front fender that I acquired from Idaho no rust, a perfect passenger side door from Arizona no rust and never creased. the trunk has been replaced with a YEAR ONE trunk panel. The rear quarters are YEAR ONE ALSO. I t has a new gas tank, complete new 12 Bolt posi 3.73 geared, A completely refurbished 1967 Muncie 4-speed transmission with a 2:20 first gear ratio. The Interior has been recovered with PUI coverings in black. A new headliner and New Dashpad. I installed a cluster with gauge package including a tachometer. The tach is not hooked up but does work. I cannot find anyone who knows how to make the tach accurate because I have a H.E.I. distributor for ignition. When I hook up the tach It idles at 4500 r.p.m.s
With a point style distributor it reads the correct R.P.M. The car has tinted windows that came from a a/c car. It looks good with the Cortez Silver paint. The paint is P.P.G. Diamont. Brand new Bf Goodrich Radial T/A's P235/60/15 on the front and P255/60/15 on the rear gives it a great look. Also included will be the turbo 400 that came in the car originally with the automatic shifter and SS console. Also I will include a second turbo 400 that came out of a 427 Impala station wagon. There are also extra trim and glass that comes with it. The engine is a 327 c.i.d 250 hp motor that has a new 375 hp Hydraulic cam and lifters to give it a little better performance and sound. Also are new hooker headers and Holley 650 carburetor. The rallye wheels are 15x7 gm rims with new center caps and trim rings. There is a lot of time and money invested in this car trying to get it to this point. Please ask any questions before bidding. I would highly recommend looking at the car before BIDDING! Also the color code for the car was Ermine White and Turquoise interior. I am also open to offers or trades.Note:I have not been able to find a shifter boot for the console otherwise it would be installed. I have all the pictures of the car while the body work was taking place. The turquoise pictures are of the car after I redid the interior but before taking the car completely down to bare metal fixing all the rust holes under the rear window trim and under the rear package shelf ect....
