2003 Chevrolet 2500 Silverado Extended Cab SB

Up for sale is my Silverado pickup truck. It has 238k miles. I am the second owner of the vehicle, having purchased it from the original owner, who was personal friend. Prior to purchasing it, the vehicle sat for about two years due to the original owner’s declining health.

So here’s the skinny on the truck: the engine was replaced approximately 80k miles ago with an engine that had 46k miles on it, so the true engine mileage is around 125k. The transmission was replaced with a rebuilt one about 30k miles ago.

I bought the truck basically to do some light plowing and for home depot runs, I’ve had the vehicle for about 2 ½ years and only put about 12k miles on it. During this time, I’ve pretty much replaced everything that would need to be replaced on a truck of this year and age.

Here’s a list of everything that I’ve done to the truck (and I’m sure I forgot some things):

• · Timken front hubs & ABS assemblies
• · 02 sensors
• · Intake manifold gaskets
• · Knock sensors
• · Dipstick tube
• · 4wd selector switch
• · Transfer case control module (TCCM)
• · Transfer case actuator motor
• · Tailgate rebuild kit (latches / handle / hinges)
• · All new fuel lines
• · All new transmission lines
• · Fuel pump
• · Newer set of seats and center console (originals were shot)
• · Slip on rocker panels (cab corners are starting to show some rust)
• · Fuel pressure regulator
• · Power steering pump & hoses

I’m sure I forgot some things, but basically everything that’s a known problem for this year, make & model has been addressed, with the exception of the following that I have either not gotten around to or not cared about:

• · The A/C compressor is seized and would need to be replaced if you like air conditioning (if I get a chance I’ll have it fixed by next week and I’ll update the listing to reflect such).
• The rear bumper is pretty rusty.
• · The ABS light stays on, when I swapped out the seats, the seat wiring harness was different and I never spliced it together.

This vehicle had been used for light residential snow plowing, it had a Western ultramount set up. I will leave the frame-mount intact unless you’d like it removed. The wiring, controller and receivers will be removed prior to sale.

The vehicle’s frame shows rusty, which is very common for GM trucks, this is mostly all surface rust which I had painted with Chassis Saver two years ago and recently have been applying fluid film to. The biggest issue is that I only drive the truck every few weeks; it needs to be driven more often.

It’s a strong solid truck with a lot of life left in it. All of the general issues that will come up have already been addressed. The truck runs great and is ready to start making someone some money.There is a reserve it, but it's a very modest & realistic price.

If it’s going to be used in NJ, it’s exempt from future inspections.
