This is not my car but I am selling for a friend who does not do eBay. Let me say that I understand that there is a lot of information in my ad. I also understand that this may be boring to the person who is just looking and not buying. However, for the person who is looking to buy and spend their hard earned money, I feel that there is never too much information.
As to myself, I am a (67) year old kid that loves muscle cars. For my work, I am retired from managing a Correctional Facility here in Maine and had worked for the Maine Department of Corrections for (40) years. I am also a respected member of my community. I mention this only because of the value of this car and so that prospective buyers will have some idea as to who they are dealing with. Also, please check out my eBay feedback that is 100% after (1,170) transactions. Many of my transactions have been muscle cars, which I have sold to individuals all over the country as well as Canada, England, France, Switzerland, Australia and the Netherlands. My reputation for honesty is well known amongst muscle car lovers.
Here is a little history on the Chevrolet Impala:
TheChevrolet Impala is afull-size carbuilt byChevroletformodel years1958 to 1985, 1994 to 1996, and 2000 to present. The Chevrolet Impala derived its name from the Africanantelope of the same name. The Impala was Chevrolet's most expensive passenger model through 1965, and had become the best-selling automobile in the United States.
In 1961, the ImpalaSS(Super Sport) was introduced to the market. The SS badge was to become Chevrolet's signature of performance on many models, though it often has been an appearance package only.
The 1967 Impala SS was less decorated than other Impalas; Super Sports had black grille accents and black-accented body-side and rear fender moldings. Lesser models leaned more toward brightwork inside and out. Buyers could choose either vinyl bucket seats with a center console, or a Strato-Bench seat with a fold-down center armrest. Standard wheel covers were the same as the optional full covers on other big Chevrolets, but the centers featured the "SS" logo surrounded by tri-color ring of red, white and blue. "Chevrolet" and "Impala" callouts on the body were all replaced by attractive "Impala SS" badges.
The 1965–1970GM B platformis the fourth bestselling automobile platform in history after theVolkswagen Beetle,Ford Model Tand theLada Riva.

Pretty much an original car, this 1967 Chevrolet Impala SS396 is a completely numbers matching big block. It is powered by the desirable 396ci/325hp original engine backed up with the original automatic transmission. Putting the rubber to the road is the original 12-bolt rear axle with a 2.73:1 ratio.
This is a wonderful specimen of a very original 1967 Impala SS big block. It has all the good stuff you want and expect when purchasing a classic car. Like, all original drivetrain, original intake, original carburetor, original air cleaner, original distributor, original cylinder heads, original exhaust manifolds, original alternator, original starter, original body panels, original SS hubcaps and more.
The car starts, runs and drives very well with a solid suspension. It has a front sway bar and feels very firm and solid going down the road like I expect it did back in 1967.
This ’67 Impala SS was just repainted, by a local body shop, with a change of color from the not so nice Butternut Yellow to what I feel is an improvement to Nantucket Blue. As money was a consideration, the paint selected was not the best and after cleaning and priming the body, the car was repainted. The paint is not concourse and does have blotchy issues you can notice up close. Look at the before and after photos and it is a tremendous improvement.
This is a wicked nice original ’67 Big Block Impala SS396 and I urge any perspective buyer to look at all of the information, photos and the video and decide for themselves whether this is what they want and need. Ask any and all questions prior to the close of the auction that you feel will help you decide.

Exterior: Just repainted Nantucket Blue. The paint is not concourse and does have blotchy issues you can notice up close. Good bumpers, door handles and mirror. Bright work is driver quality. Very good rims and tires. Lights and blinkers are working along with the horn.
Interior: Nice dash, nice instrument panel, newer front seat upholstery, good door panels, newer carpet and good headliner. New rear seat upholstery and new package tray. The following are functional:
· Headlights (one low beam is out but all four high beams work.);
· Tail Lights;
· Overhead Interior Light;
· Blinkers Front, Rear;
· Horn;
· Speedometer.
The heater, wipers, fuel gauge and radio are not working and really unsure why.
Engine: Basically all original. Numbers matching drivetrain. Correct stampings, casting numbers and casting dates. Carburetor, air cleaner, alternator, starter and radiator are all new. I do have all of these original parts that will go with the car when sold. Sounds somewhat noisy but I was told that an additive might quiet it down.
Trunk: Very good with a few small holes that could be easily fixed. There is the original jack assembly. I do have four 14” rims/tires and four SS hubcaps that will go with the car when sold.
Undercarriage: Pretty much original and mostly rust free
