1987 Chevrolet Corvette Callaway Twin Turbo Convertible Description

You are buying a very rare 1987 Callaway Twin Turbo Corvette (option B2k) with 50,000 miles. The B2K option alone was $19,900 in 1987. That premium bought you a bunch of goodies. Cylinder heads were all X-rayed. A steel crank replaced the stock cast-iron one. Cosworth produced the pistons and all valve springs were replaced with German ones that cost $12 each. As Reeves said "We pulled out all the stops, put the best of everything into the engine that we could possibly find”. By the time they were done HP was rated at 345 and it produced 465 lb/ft of torque. I am the second owner of this beauty, having bought it with 19,000 miles on it in 2000. Around 500 B2K model Corvettes were built from 1987 - 1991 and only 188 were built in 1987. Of those there were only 4 yellow convertibles. The 1987 model year is the only one with the distinctive NACA style hood ducts. This car was dyno'd at over 500 lb/ft of torque while having its deep exhaust note recorded for use in the Xbox 360 launch game Project Gotham 3. The sound was used again in the Forza2 Motorsport Xbox 360 game. Included with this car are some B2K parts I purchased on eBay from a Callaway contractor many years ago. These parts include 2 NEW OEM turbos, two used intercoolers and an air intake piece. This car is a rare piece of Corvette history and is a pretty fun car to drive. It has always been an attention getter at car shows and has won many class awards. Don't let it get away... Below are a couple of informative sites on the C4 Callaway Twin Turbo Corvette (CTTC).
