2002 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 Description

2002 Silverado truck, starts, runs, and drives. Fair condition. Mileage 299,000.
Sought after 6 litre V-8. Great towing capacity.
Tires are good withonly about10,000 miles on them. Has a good spare.
Substantial body rust as shown.Has a good tailgate but mounts are rusted out.Also comes witha web style tailgate. Bed is good inside and has a liner.
Nonsmoker, but interior smells like a dog.
Cabin heater is bad and has beenbypassed.
Last usedabout 4 months agowhen my brother borrowed it for 2 weeksto drive to work. He found that it wanted to accelerate to around 2000-2200 RPM's, and then normalized.It may need accelerator cable lubricated or replaced, or this may have some other cause.
This is an old truck and far from perfect. I have described as best I know, but it may have or develop mechanical problems you will need to address. Since owning in 2010 I have replaced:starter motor (2011), power steering pump and serpentine belt(2014), brake pads and rotors (2015), tires (2015), intake manifold gasket(2016). Oil changed consistently at 3,000 miles/3months until this past year, when I have driven fewer than 1000 miles.
