1957 Chevrolet Bel Air/150/210 Del Ray Description

Rare, interesting, and beautifully restored, this 1957 Chevrolet 210 is a V8 total package cool cruiser with all the right features to attract the right kind of attention. The bodywork on this car is simply stunning. There was a frame-off restoration performed a decade ago, and this coupe has been treated with respect ever since. That's why everything is so complete and straight. You know a '57 by its acres of chrome and stainless trim, and thankfully, it's all present on this classic. It includes the wide grille and bumper package, jet-inspired hood ornaments, and full-length body trim that ends in the iconic bright tailfins. You might have also noticed that this has the anodized aluminum, badging, and bright tail trim of the Bel Air. And while this one has the full Bel Air treatment, it actually has an interesting secret. If you check out the bod tag, the label 1011A makes this originally a 210 Del Ray. Chevrolet sold so few of these in 1957, that this designation is rarer than any Bel Air, except the Nomad.Inside, you'll find one of the most striking factory-inspired color combinations. The textured dark blue, smooth lighter blue, and fabric black/blue create a seating arrangement that's like looking into layers of a tropical ocean. The coordinating door panels are an obvious sign of a nice investment, and so are the dashboard, carpeting, and headliner. There are crisp, clean gauges behind the highly stylized Bel Air steering wheel. The rest of the chrome on the dash looks amazing, and the upgraded AM/FM/cassette radio still looks correct thanks to its bright knob-style appearance. The whole presentation feels authentic, right down to the proper trunk mat and full-size spare with factory wheel cover.Part of what makes these cars a legend is that the Tri-Fives were the ones to introduce the Chevy small block V8. So you'll be happy to lift the hood to reveal a nicely detailed engine bay that features a 265 cubic-inch motor. Decked out in Chevy Orange, you can tell a lot went into the detail work after all, everyone loves the correct cursive Chevrolet script on the valve covers. But more than just appearance, you can tell the investment was in quality, too, with components like the aluminum radiator and Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor. You get complete control over this V8 thanks to the column-shifted three-speed manual transmission. And while we know you'll love the faint rumble of the dual exhaust, we suggest you also check out its path in the undercarriage photos. The exceptionally clean condition of this place people rarely see is a nice reminder of the top quality that comes from owning a well restored classic. There's no shortage of '57 Chevy fans out there. So when you can find a well-presented icon that's also a great cruiser (and will always have a story to tell,) then you know you're looking at the right deal.Call now!
