1970 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Coupe *NO RESERVE* 4speed T-Tops
1970 Chevrolet Corvette Blue Description
I am selling the first car I ever owned- a good looking 1970 Corvette Stingray. I've had it for around 16 years now, the majority of which it was garaged and maintained. Always a Southwestern car, and I think only 2 other owners besides me. Starts up great and runs nicely. As far as I know it still has the original transmission, rear, etc, but not the original engine. We replaced it with a rebuilt Chevrolet 350ci V8 from the same period, one which now only has under 2,000 miles on it. Very clean! Here are the numbers off of the engine: VO91 | CLC and other numbers on the engine: 6403540. This car starts right up every time, idles smooth, runs, drives and stops like a Corvette should. I recently replaced the brake rotors, put a new set of good tires on it (more recent than the ones in photos). The exhaust sounds great and the car has plenty of power. The body is in nice shape and the paint looks good, but shows signs of minor cracking along a few of the contours, especially in the rear. From about 5 feet it looks great, but you may want to repaint if you want it looking perfect. The chrome is in decent shape with some pitting, it'll shine up nicely, but for those show-car enthusiasts, you may want to re-dip them. The interior is in good shape, seats are in great shape, carpet is good but showing a bit of wear from normal use. I originally replaced all of the window and door seals when I purchased this 16 years ago - one or two may need to be replaced. All of the lights, signals, gauges, wipers, etc... work as they should. The headlights go up and down smoothly under their own power except for the front right one which needs a light pull to pop into place. I suspect a new actuator is needed, its a simple fix, but I never got around to it. The wiper door works fine as well. The clock and odometer no longer work as is the case on most of these vettes. It's a fun drive with a 4 speed manual transmission, tilt/telescoping steering wheel, over the shoulder seat belts option, t-tops and the pop-out rear window. Comes with straps and bags for storing the t-tops as well as the shelf for storing the pop-out rear window. Also - I have a car cover for it as well. While this may not be a show car, it certainly is a head turner and a really fun car to drive on the weekend. I am mainly selling it simply because I no longer have the interest that I used to when I first bought it, i'm looking to sell to someone who wants to take great care of this beautiful car.
This is a NO RESERVE auction, meaning the car will be sold to the highest bidder. Sold as-is. Feel free to contact me with OFFERS, QUESTIONS, a need for more PHOTOS or VIDEOS.
I will soon be posting a short video showing the car starting up and running.
