All Original Survivor! Runs and Drives! Daily Drivable! Great Project Starter!
1978 Chevrolet Impala Base Description
This is my 1978 Chevrolet Impala coupe. The car is all original--it's still equipped with its factory 305CI V8 engine and 3-speed, automatic TH350 transmission. The car runs and drives great! The car starts on a dime and both the engine and the transmission are strong. The engine is powered by a Rochester 2-barrel carburetor and, believe it or not, this car has some pep! The odometer just hit 98k. The car launches hard and that's due to the 3.08 positraction rear end, which is a great all-around gear for both mild performance and highway economy.
This car is in overall great condition. The body is straight--there are no dents or dings. The car has been repainted once and the paint is dull. But, the paint is in good condition and it would shine up nicely with a good polish and buff. The interior is clean--the carpet is new, there are no cracks in the dash, there are no rips or tears in the seats, and all the trim is present. The car has a good set of whitewall tires with lots of tread left. All the lights and indicators are working. The air conditioner and heater works.
I think it's worth nothing that Chevrolet only made the Caprice and the Impala in this body style for three years--1977, 1978, and 1979. And of course, the Impala is rarer than the Caprice... not to mention the fact that GM B-body coupes are already rare on their own. If you see another one of these cars it will likely be distastefully modified or just complete crap.
I have a clean Georgia title in hand. The price is firm, but I may have a little wiggle room for a serious buyer. I am only accepting cash in-person, no PayPal.
The car is located in Conyers, GA. I can be contacted at (404) 769-1495.
