The 2500 heavy-duty Suburban has different steering gear, oversized brake parts, high load suspension, high output alternator, wheels, tires, beefy axles, and larger fuel tank (39 gals.) This 2500HD hasa smooth and quiet 6.0-liter with variable valve timingwith aluminum block and heads, rated at 352 horsepower and 382 pound-feet of torque, anda 6-speed high-capacity trailer-tow rated transmission. This vehicle has all disc brakes front and rear with heavy 8 bolt hubs, 14 boltrear axle, locking rear differential (Positraction), and stronger drivelinecomponents. The 2500HD has torsion bars with uprated MaxxSuspension components front and rear as part of the armored car conversion. The four-wheel drive system provides 'go anywhere' capability, in any season.
