Chevrolet Avalanche 2007
2007 Chevrolet Avalanche LT Description
For sale is my 2007 Avalanche.. I purchased this vehicle brand new, I am the only owner, and I have personally driven 99.99% of the miles on the vehicle.. I am a lifelong car enthusiast and have taken excellent care of this vehicle from day one.. It has been my daily driver since I bought it new with a few short exceptions.. I am an outside over the road sales rep so while it does have a lot of miles on it, they are in fact highway miles for the most part.. This is a 100% solid truck you could hop in and drive across the country with no issues.. I have never left to go somewhere in it that is did not bring me back home.. I drove it from the dealers lot to the muffler shop and then to my driveway where I installed the wheels you see in the photos before I ever pulled it in the garage for the first time.. It has always stayed in the garage at night as well. At about 150,000 miles I decided to make a few changes, and created a "Factory SS" version the way I think GM should have done it.. I actually had a sales guy at a local Chevy Dealer tell me it was the first SS Avalanche he had ever seen as he thought it was real.. Changes consist of a full Eibach 2/4 suspension drop and sway bars. Removing the factory Avalanche Script and replacing them with Factory GM "SS" badging from a Trailblazer SS. They were purchased new from GM. The custom SS Instrument cluster face you see in the picture and the dash and door panel trim. All of which looks like its original.. About 2 years ago I added the leather two tone seats with the SS logo in the headrest as well replacing the original cloth seats.. It has EBC drilled and slotted brake rotors up front as well. The truck handles and corners way better than a stock Avalanche but still rides as smooth as it did new. It honestly drives more like a car than a truck.. At 259,000 miles the number one active fuel lifter failed and I decided at that time to overhaul the driveline. The engine and trans were pulled and both were completely overhauled.. The original transmission was professionally rebuilt with Corvette servos, and heavy duty clutch pack and adjusted for a slightly firmer than normal shift.. Nothing radical just a nice crisp gear change.. The original engine was run through the machine shop, and the heads were reworked as well.. It was rebuilt with a Comp Cams low end torque cam Pt # 146-456-11 if you would like to see the spec.. It has a nice lope to it without affecting drivability, and I still run a stock converter on the trans.. I also have the JBA ceramic coated short headers on the truck.. Active fuel was obviously deleted and the engine was tuned professionally by Brad Brand at Atlanta Chassis Dyno.. Rear axle was serviced at the same time. I have driven the truck every day with this set up since then and now have 312K miles on it with no issues at all.. Everything on the truck works with the exception of the steering wheel Cruise Controls that work sometimes and dont sometimes.. AC is cold, Bose Radio and CD work just like new as do all the windows etc.. Once a year I have done a two stage buffing on the paint, and have always used Mothers Back to Black on the exterior plastic.. The door jambs look brand new as well.. The truck also has Spyder Headlights in the front.. Rears are stock, I have the original wheels, springs and headlights and they will go with the truck.. I added an LSX badge in place of the original LT trim on the rear roof pillar after putting the warmed up engine /trans back in.. The truck also has Goodyear Eagle GT IIs on it that only have about 10,000 miles on them.. I have gotten 70K out of these tires on the truck in the past but that was again mostly highway miles.. The truck gets about 16.5 mpg in town and about 17/18 on the highway. About what it got with the active fuel to be honest. Its a 4L60E transmission as they did not switch to the 4L80s till 2010.. The truck was in an accident in Ormond Beach Florida in 2011 and damaged on the right front drivers side.. It was repaired by a local High End Hot Rod shop ( Hot Rods by Buff, Monroe GA) who does work for me on my collector cars using 100% GM parts to repair the cosmetic damage suffered in the accident.. I have always changed the oil every 6000 miles and use nothing but Mobile one synthetic, It also has full synthetic transmission fluid in it as well.. I am reluctantly selling the truck for two reasons.. My wife and I recently purchased a new camper that I am looking for diesel to pull, and I have a 2014 Ram that I bought while the engine and trans work was being done on the Avalanche.. It will now be my daily driver while the diesel will handle trips and towing duties.. I don't have the space to keep the all of them so as much as I really don't want to my faithful Av is now up for sale.. Its been probably the best truck I have ever owned and I want it to go to a good home.. I do have some audio clips of the engine if anyone wants to hear it. Thank You Please contact with any questions, I will answer them straight...
