2002 Chevrolet Cavalier Base 4 Dr. Sedan Description

Here's a great little car that's ready to drive anywhere in comfort, needs nothing but a driver. It's a 2002 Chevy Cavalier with a rust and rot-free body that looks nice, all original paint with no body work ever, mechanically perfect and a clean interior. Color is Sandrift Metallic. A 2 owner car from Maryland, always garaged until recently with just over 116,000 well tendered miles and is well below the national average for a 2002 Cavalier. As anyone who's familiar with these Cavalier's knows they can go well over 200,000 miles if maintained well which this one has been. Selling only due to both of us recently being retiring and downsizing our Cavalier collection. Has the more than adequate and very economical 2.2 liter engine with 4 speed automatic transmission. Since our purchase of the car have done these tasks within the last 6 months with everything being up-to-date and needing nothing- new AC Delco PF 47 oil filter and Pennzoil 5W30 oil, new AC Delco transmission filter and fill of Castrol Dex-Merc transmission fluid, a new AC Delco alternator installed, new Gates serpentine belt and Power Steering Pump, new Idler Pulley, new AC Delco Fuel Filter, tires rotated and always at proper air pressure, rear brakes cleaned and adjusted [work great], front end suspension lube, complete coolant system flush and fill with new Dex Cool anti-freeze and a new AC Delco thermostat and gasket, a new muffler strap [exhaust is great and quiet], has a couple sets of original keys and the original owner's manual, Power Steering fluid all flushed and fresh, 4 new AC Delco 100,000 Platinum tipped Spark Plugs. Tires are good, 2 are newer and 2 with a bit more wear, no dry rotting or splitting and no slow leaks, still have thousands of miles on the set. Air Conditioning blows ice cold and heater and defroster work fine. Has tilt wheel, a rear defogger and remote trunk release button under the dash. Crank windows all work fine. Has passed the Ohio E-Check with ease. No service engine lights, no check engine lights, no knocks, pings or unusual noises. Horn works great, all lights and turn signals in 100% working order. Wipers and suirters all good and in fine working condition. Battery like new. Factory CD player and AM/FM radio nice, surround speakers sound great. All glass great, no breaks or cracks. Original donut spare and jack is in the trunk well but also with the car is a rust-free full size spare rim with a brand new 14" tire on it and an NOS extra hubcap. I always have all of my cars ready to go at a moment's notice and can just turn the key and go anywhere. The body as mentioned is rust free [minor surface rust under front of driver's door and by under rocker panel sharp edge, no rot and all gas and brake lines underneath original and not rusted through or replaced, I'm very fussy and particular about no rust out!] with some common parking lot dings, pings, scratches and blemishes and one larger dent near the driver's side rear taillight and a slightly concave area to the rear door molding where the old lady who owned it originally tapped the garage [see photo]. Rocker panels are as solid as a rock. Still has the dealer installed pinstriping down the sides. Drives tight and straight, steers easily and is a pleasure to drive. Wheel bearings, CV joints, whole front end and steering are in fine condition, no issues and no mechanical noises. Front and rear struts A-OK and car rides really nice. As reliable as a new car. Interior is very clean with no rips anywhere other than heel wear on the driver's side floor mat. The forward dash cap has cracks which is very common for these year Cavaliers but isn't as bad as most. NO LEAKS anywhere under the car. No expense has been spared in getting this car to perfect operating condition, Cavaliers are my hobby and I do everything for myself, I do not buy the cars to sell and only get rid of one as our life situation changes. May have a few more miles on it than listed as I still drive it occasionally, all of these pictures were taken 7/13/17. For someone who needs a super-solid, comfortable car that will need zero attention for quite awhile and gets great gas mileage this would be a perfect vehicle.
