1996 Chevy Silverado 1500 K1500 4x4 Pickup Truck
1996 Chevrolet C/K Pickup 1500 Description
Up for sale is my 1996 Chevy Silverado 1500, or K1500 pickup truck. I bought this truck in Feburary 2016 and towed it back from Southeast Pennsylvania from the original owner with 115k original miles on it. The original owner special ordered the truck from Hoover Chevy in Wernersville, PA in 1996. The truck just turned 120k miles the other day. Under the hood, the truck has the 5.7l 350 Vortec engine. Since purchasing the truck, I have done a lot of preventative maintenance on it. I've replaced the rear pinion and transfer case tail shaft seals. Changed all fluids in the rear axle, transfer case, engine, and front axle with all synthetic fluids. I also had the transmission checked and serviced by Utica Hydra-Matic. Replaced the cluster overlay and needles with GM parts to bring back the orange color in the needles. Installed a new ACDelco EGR valve. Replaced the A/C compressor with a brand new one and had the system checked. Bought and installed a factory trailer hitch and wired the truck for full trailer wiring. Bought 4 OEM wheels from South Carolina to replace the original peeling wheels and had new Goodyear Armortrac 265/75/16 tires mounted, and balanced, and had the truck aligned. Also replaced the water pump, thermostat, and all hoses. When the truck was apart for that I also installed a new belt, distributor cap, rotor, and ACDelco plugs and wires. Most recently I installed a new fan clutch. There's a bunch that I'm forgetting plus small odds and ends, a lot of which didn't need to be replaced but I elected to just because of the age of the truck. This truck is 110% and needs absolutely nothing. Being that the truck is from PA, the body is probably the cleanest of any of this C/K style in the area. The rockers, cab corners, and rest of the truck is absolutely rust free. Any part of the exhaust could be unbolted tomorrow. The only rust on the whole truck is the bottoms of both doors. The drains became plugged and the rust started from the inside and worked its way out. This rust was present when I bought it and to preserve the rest of the truck it's taken off the road in the fall for the winter. The interior of this truck is just as immaculate and even the original color matched GM floor mats are still intact. Every single dash and interior light works. The seats, the rug, headliner, etc all are in great shape and do not show the wear that you'd expect with a 21 year old truck. I tried to provide as many angles as I could in the pictures but I can always get more if requested. I also have a full shop with lifts to look the truck over. Feel free to bring a mechanic or anyone else you'd want to. This truck is tight, has no leaks, and needs absolutely nothing. It is 100% and I'd take it anywhere tomorrow. I encourage any questions that you may have. Feel free to call or text me at any time at (315) 794-5269 (Nick). I have the clean title in hand. The truck is located in Utica, New York and is sold as-is, where-is with no warranty. Satisfy yourself to the condition of the truck. Any shipping is the responsibility of the buyer
