1987 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Description

When you want a cool classic pickup that has award-worthy features and is still ready for heavy duty work, it's time to step up to this 1987 Chevrolet Custom Deluxe 3/4 ton K20 long bed.The full name on this pickup is a mouthful, and that's because it has all the features truck people want. After all, the K20 designation means you not only get the extra duty 3/4 ton rating, but also the longer bed. And you can tell this one is still ready to work today with great features like the liner paint in the bed and a wired tow hitch. But it's not the practical side that really has you attracted to this one, is it? Instead, what first grabs your eye is that metallic blue paint that nicely showcases the gentle curves and sharp lines that makes these Chevy trucks so desirable. And that black pinstripe really helps highlight how straight the sheet metal is. Plus, it has all the right custom touches like the billet grille that complements the chrome bumper, the bright panels protecting the sides of the long bed, and the painted rear bumper. And of course, those bright alloys have eight-spokes... one for every bolt in those heavy duty hubs.Inside this Custom Deluxe surely lives up to the "Custom" part of its name thanks to the fresh interior. The attractive blue cloth seat is borrowed from a much younger Silverado. It provides comfortable bucket-style seating for when you want individual luxury, and the cup holder center armrest flips up when you need a third seat. The blue cloth pattern coordinates with the door panels and dash for a nice uniform appearance. Chevy's trucks from this era were truly focused on the driver, and so the dash panel surrounds you with everything from the factory full gauge package to the upgraded AM/FM/CD stereo. And while this one has provisions for air conditioning, we bet your favorite breezes will come the old-fashioned way. After all there's nothing quite like opening the vent window and sliding the rear glass on a classic pickup.Under the hood is more of the great blue presentation. The engine bay and air topper match the exterior color to quietly showcase how thoughtful this build has been (that's why the truck already has won awards!) But beyond the style is power and substance of a crate 350 cubic-inch V8 that was installed in 2004. Despite the newer motor, this retains a special feature only available for '87. It was the only year in this generation to have fuel-injection, so it's nice to see that upgrade still here. Not only does this create a powerful setup, but also this has received all the right maintenance, including new hoses, wiring, and oil pan gasket. The four-speed manual transmission was also rebuilt in 2005. Add in power steering and front disc brakes, and you're looking at a powerful and reliable total package. In fact, if you were thinking this is the perfect vehicle to take on longer trips, the dual fuel tanks should really seal the deal!Complete with build receipts, this is a great pickup that was assembled to work harder and go farther. Today it can still do it all with a great custom look added in, too. And at this affordable price, you know this total package pickup will be gone soon. Call now!
