1998 Chevrolet Corvette Description

This is a great car with many updates / upgrades - Basically new interior, new suspension, new transmission and new top (All within the past 2 years)

1998 Corvette Convertible C5 -Custom 2 Tone Interior (Burgundy and Black),New Top (Burgundy to match interior), Custom Stereo and Center Console, ZR1/Z06 Suspension (Z06 Springs, Bilstein Shocks, ZR1 Sway Bars, Fully Lowered), K&N Carbon Cold Air Intake, Transmission rebuilt to handle a supercharged engine!

I have owned this car for under 3 years. I bought it for my girlfriend, from a friend who owned it for 12 years. He was the second owner and bought the car from a broker. The estimate of 7 owners is incorrect on this listing. We recently bought a boat and would like to sell this to help cover the cost of the boat. She doesn't drive it because she says it scares her. She prefers the Mercedes I bought her instead. I drive a modified BMW M6 and just don't need a Corvette, even though it's fun to drive with the top down.

I have over $27K invested in the car, so this is an awesome deal for someone that knows Corvettes. It's not perfect, but it's a great value for what it has.This is a Corvette that will stand out against other Corvettes. I get compliments on this car all the time.

Pros:

1) This car stands out and gets a lot of attention and compliments

2) Runs great!

3)Handles great. (The whole suspension has been completely replaced [see below])

4)Corsa Exhaust (It sounds great! Puts my modified V10 BMW M6 to shame)

5)Z06 wheels with Michelin Super Pilot Sport tires (good condition)

6)All gauges work

7)Convertible top is less than 2 years old and does not leak in the rain

8)I have over $15,000 just in updates and modifications (listed below), completed over the past two years.

* Custom burgundy and black two-tone interior. (seats, center console, doors, shifter, handbrake)

* New top [Burgundy to match interior] (less than 2 years old - this top does not leak in the rain!)

* Custom console with Pioneer AVH-X5700BHS DVD stereo. Has 7" touchscreen
* Back up camera integrated into stereo
* External amp with all new hi end speakers
* Custom sub-woofer system built in trunk (leaves full storage space in trunk)
* Toggle switch to control antenna so it can stay down when radio is on. No tacky antenna sticking up ruining the car's looks when it's not needed.
* Rebuilt / modified transmission by local custom builder/race shop(October last year) - rebuilt to handle a supercharger to about 700hp (never got around to adding the SC)
* New windshield seal.

* New door seals
* ZR1 Stabilizer bars and link kit (front and rear)
* Z06 Leaf Springs (front and rear)
* Bilstein Shocks (front and rear)
* Fully lowered (must be careful driving over speed bumps and parking too close to curbs!)
* K&N Carbon fiber cold air intake with bottom fed ram air

Cons:

1)It could use a little cosmetic work

*Paint on front license plate started flaking.

*Passenger rocker panel has some rash from car being so low. (see picture)

2)High miles (previous owner and I used for cruising and longer trips so most miles were longer trips)
