1974 Chevrolet Corvette Description

This auction is for a 1974 Corvette Roadster. This car has undergone a complete mechanical refurbishment and is almost thru the cosmetic restoration as well. The seller has lost interest due to kids and school tuition and wants to sell it now. See the email below from the owner and look closely at the pictures.

I have known this car for many years. Alan bought the car back in 1990's, so it has been off the road for about 20+ years. It has a clear Texas Title in his name.

I can assist with shipping. I have a trip to Chicago, San Diego, South Carolina, and Florida scheduled in the next 8 weeks, so I can trailer it to you for a nominal fee if you are in those areas of the country. I can also work with Alan to finish the car if you so desire for an additional fee. Please call me at 817-715-6163 to discuss and we will figure out a plan that everyone can can work with.

Please read Alan's description of the car below:

Peter,

The drivetrain has been completely rebuilt. This car has a non-matching numbers (1970's era) 4 bolt main motor rebuilt by Bill Anderson of Extreme Motors in Flower Mound, TX. The carb was built by Mr Carburetor in Dallas. The turbo 400 transmissIon was built by Eagle Transmission in Lewisville, TX. And, the rear axle is a 3:36 ratio built by Duntov Motors in Dallas, TX.

The body completely hand stripped, shaped and made paint ready my Starvin Marvin in Lewisville, TX. All jambs, sills, under hood, rear deck lid in color, front and rear bumper covers are urethane replacements with correct hardware and split rear bumper (only on the 74).

The car only needs the exterior paint to be finished (currently jams are painted pearl white); a new radiator (have original); have someone hook up all the engine components and dash with a new tach-drive distributor (or switch to electronic), and the vacuum system for headlight buckets replaced (or switch to electric). It will also need a new carpet kit (interior is currently an original deluxe navy blue leather interior) and a new convertible top (have frame and latches). The original color of the car was red.

I am the 3rd owner. It is a Texas car with a no hit body, no rust, and we did a complete chassis and suspension restoration underneath with stainless lines, rebuilt calipers, and all new bushings...etc. This was a garage kept car forever and never seen rain since I have owned it. You can eat off the undercarriage of this car. All the hard work has been done. It just needs to be completed cosmetically as I have mentioned above.

I have well over $20,000 invested in this car between the purchase of the car, the drivetrain, the suspension, and the bodywork. Please sell it for me.

Regards, Alan

We reserve the right to end the auction early so please call to discuss at 817-715-6163. Thanks and happy bidding!
