1996 Chevrolet Camaro SS Description

Up for sale is my 1996 Camaro Z28 SS with 8400 actual miles. Yes, only 8400 miles! Car is 100% stock with the exception of a bolt in SLP subframe connectors and sway bar (can be easily removed if desired). I only drive this car a few weekends out of the year when the weather is nice and a five minute drive to and from work on occasion. This is SS #1908 out of roughly 2200 SS’s built in 1996. It is the first year return of the SS since its debut in 1969. I purchased the car front the original owner and his son from Wisconsin. Carfax does show that I am the third owner but I would say I am the second since the car stayed in the family. This car has spent it’s entire life in the previous owners and my climate controlled garage . This car literally still has the new car smell interior! Everything on the car is original except for the battery and tires due to age. The 1996 Camaro Z28 SS was the first year of these cars from GM. These cars were special ordered from a Chevrolet dealer as a Z28 with the R7T option (SS option). GM would then build these Z28’s and then ship them to SLP (Street Legal Performance) for the conversion to an SS to enhance the handling and increase the horsepower. I DO HAVE the original window sticker, original build sheet from SLP and 2 irreplaceable #1908 Z28/SS keychains that are still in bubble wrap. Cooper Rs3R Tires and brakes are practically brand new.
