Chevrolet C3500 LS Crew Cab Dually Duramax 4WD 2003. Here is the deal, took truck in because it was black stacking. Was told it needed fuelinjectors and fuel pressure regulator. Service shop installed injectors, high pressure fuel lines, fuel pressure regulator, thermostats and a few other odds and ends. Picked up truck, ran great and no more black smoke. Drove it about 200 miles all good. Decide to take trip with boat, made it about150 miles and temp went high. Pulled to side of road and a lot of coolant running out at firewall passenger side. Discovered that one of the plastic heater core fittings at firewall had failed. My guess is that fitting had been struck during injector service and subsequently failed causing coolant loss and overheat. Towed truck back to shop, they told me head gaskets are blown and "shit happens" as far as broken fitting that caused overheat. TRUCK WILL NEED HEAD GASKETS BEFORE BEING PUT BACK ON ROAD. I bought this truck new and it is time for me to move on. Interstate batteries are about two years old, matching set of Toyo tires have real good tread. Has FASS fuel system/filter setup, 5" downpipe back exhaust without muffler. Transfer case was replaced with new OEM unit about 75k miles ago. Front end was rebuilt about the same time. The fenders have some cracks behind the rear wheels from being backed into things that don't move. Has never been crashed or into body shop for any reason. A lot of the miles are highway. The truck starts and drives fine but faulty head gaskets are pressurizing cooling system and causing coolant loss. TRUCK IS NOT DRIVEABLE, WILL HAVE TO BE TOWED OR TRAILERED. WE CAN ASSIST IN LOADING. ABS system is not working according to indicator light. CD player will not eject Cd that is in it. A/C blows cold and everything else works as it should short of HEAD GASKET ISSUE. ******. ******THIS IS AN ABSOLUTE AUCTION** IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN TRUCK BID ON IT**Thank you for looking!!!
