1965 Chevrolet Corvette Description

Rarely is it seen an unmolested, unrestored, highly optioned Corvette Convertible becomes available that remains in excellent cosmeticand mechanical condition.
Well, here it is, a 1965 Corvette Convertible adorned in the factory color of Milano Maroon (900MM) re-sprayed and in fantastic conditionwith the one year only interior color combination color of burgundy. At a mere glance, with all the panel gaps as they should be, it's obvious this is a no hit body with all the body seams intact as they were when the car left the factory on May 26th, 1965.
This Corvette is equipped with the original numbers matching 327ci / 300hp engine and a Muncie close ratio 4 speed transmission. Factory optioned and original A/C that still blows cold, power steering, power brakes including the original cast iron master cylinder and power windows along with the original teak steering wheel and AM/FM radio. Still retaining its original and correctly dated open 3:36 differential, it cruises nicely athighway speeds.
This is an exceptional, well maintained and mostly unrestored highly optioned Corvette convertible with restoration performed as needed. Withthe exception of new carpet, the interior is original and also includes the correct jack and handle. And yes, the correct and properly dated power antenna works flawlessly.
UNDER THE HOOD:Numbers matching and original 327ci / 300hp engine, 4 speed close ratio Muncie transmission (Note: This car left the factory with a 2 speed powerglide transmission as noted by the "HR" engine stamp and has been upgraded to a 4 speed Muncie). correct and properly dated Dewittsreplacement radiator, all correct ignition shielding, hoses and clamps, etc. Windshield washers work as they should. Engine runs smoothly andquietly and the transmission shifts perfectly. The engine currently has finned aluminum valve covers not original to this engine. The originalsteel valve covers come with the car.INTERIOR:With the exception of replacement carpet, the burgundy interior is original to the car and in super condition, all the gauges work correctly, teaksteering wheel, original dash pads, power windows function perfectly, the AM/FM radio has been restored and works as it should. Door locksare keyed correctly and work smoothly. The white soft top is in perfect condition. Seat belts are correct and near perfect. Clock keeps perfect time.
EXTERIOR:The general appearance of the exterior is very nice with no noticeable stress cracks in the fiberglass. The doors open and close without issue, locks work nicely and are keyed correctly, chrome and repaint are in superb condition, panel gaps are as they should be and the bonding stripsare intact. The original steel wheels come with the car and can be seen in the pictures shown with the correct 1965 hub caps. Spare tire ispresent as is the correct tire tub lock and rubber cover and is also keyed correctly.
