2014 Chevrolet Corvette 286/500 Premier Edition Description

This is a very special One of None C7 Stingray - First ever supercharged C7, by Magnuson superchargers. Car is still brand new and even still smells new. It has been on TV and deserves to be in a showroom or museum which I don't have. It is the absolutely loaded #286 of 500 Premier Edition with suede interior and unused luggage.
I cannot describe it better than the magazine article below and the link to the Velocity TV show. Please note that it DOES NOT come with the custom hood and that the original hood is on the car.
This car has a very special place in the Stingray history books, being the first ever Supercharged C7 and is known by its history at 2014 SEMA and Velocity TV AND while I rarely get it out it is an absolute blast to drive. I would consider a partial trade with a C1, I am selling because this car is special and I want one I can use for a daily driver (this one has never seen rain).

The 2014 Corvette Stingray Premiere Edition was offered as a special way to kick off the newest generation of Chevy sports car.

If being the owner of one of just 500 Premiere Edition Coupes isn't special enough for you, you have a chance to bump up your exclusivity a notch with this "one-of-a-kind" P.E. being offered now on eBay.

This one is No. 286 out of the factory run of 500, but this supercharged SEMA show car has been greatly upgraded performance-wise into Z06 territory, going all the way from 460 to 600 horsepower.

All Premiere Editions were painted Laguna Blue at Bowling Green and equipped identically - in other words, fully loaded with the following options: Stingray Interior Plaque indicating build sequence, Brownstone Suede Interior, Carbon Fiber Interior, Sueded Microfiber-Wrapped Trim Package, Multi-Mode Exhaust System, Magnetic Selective Ride Control System, Torque-Directional Chrome 19″ Front and 20″ Rear wheels, Transparent Removable Roof Panel, Premium Floor Mats, "Stingray" Logo Door Sill Plates, Custom-Fitted Corvette Luggage by Thule, and Cargo Shade with Logo. 3LT Package includes: Memory Package, Power Lumbar and Bolster Seat Adjusters, Leather Wrapped and Color Keyed Instrument Panel, Console, and Doors, Auto Dimming Mirrors, Heated and Ventilated Seats, Universal Home Remote, Premium Bose Audio System with 10 Speakers, Advanced Theft Deterrent System, Color Head Up Display, and Chevy Mylink Navigation System.

That's not to mention the Z51 Performance Package, which includes Performance Suspension, Dry Sump Engine Oil System, Electronic Differential, Larger Slotted Brake Rotors, Black Painted Calipers, Higher Performance Tires, Performance Transmission Gear Ratios, Heavy Duty Cooling Package, and Aero Package.

Depending on where the bids wind up, this could well be a bargain for someone who wants a very special Premiere Edition.

Besides the usual goodies, this SEMA show car also features the Magnuson 600 HP 6.2 L Engine Package, which includes TVS2300 Heartbeat Hybrid-roots supercharger, CNC Aluminum supercharger case (currently running 7 lbs. of boost), clearance of the factory C7 Corvette hood, TVS2300 front inlet front drive rotors - same Eaton technology as the Corvette ZR1 LS9, twin dual-pass charge-air-coolers, better air-handling characteristics than comparable superchargers, Internal Bypass Valve to virtually eliminate parasitic loss, high thermal efficiency, high helix four-lobe rotors with 160 degrees of twist, redesigned inlet and outlet ports, and High Flow Green Air Filter - with professional assembly and installation and Magnuson 3/36 warranty on supercharger assembly.

In other words, this Corvette will scoot.

Blown C7 - Magnuson Superchargers Car at SEMA 2014


As mentioned in a previous story about being on the hunt for a couple of special Corvettes at this year's SEMA show, this beautiful C7 was one of the others that made the list. This 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray painted in Laguna Blue Tint looked exceptional under the soft display lighting sitting atop aftermarket wheels with black spokesandchrome barrels. However, this wasn't what really caught our eye when we walked by.

As you'll notice in the pictures, the car was wearing a flat-black hood with an oddly shaped hole cut out of it. The purpose of this hood was so the Magnuson Supercharger could be viewed and subsequently drooled over, even when the hood was closed. You may also notice some text near the opening explaining what you are looking at. Luckily, Magnuson was conscious that not everyone wants to run a raised or notched hood, and as you'll see, the original hood is still an available option to this car.

For anybody who has been fortunate enough to drive a C7, even briefly, you know that they are harnessing some serious power thanks to the new LT1. So what happens when you begin ramming air into such a motor you might ask? Matt Hately informed us that, "Recently a big push for us has been the unit for the C7 and we are really happy with how that has come together. We were after power and ease of install, and I think we did pretty well on both as we are only at six pounds of boost, and putting up over 550 rwhp. After many redesigns and revisions, we got it to fit completely under the factory hood.”

We initially were thinking about installation and fitment, as the LT1 is already nestled quite well into the Stingray's engine bay, but Hatelyassured us, "All of our dealers were telling us they wanted to see more attention paid to the install to get the cars in and out of the shop which we aptly did; with no cutting required, and a two-piece intercooler which just slides into place without having to disassemble the front of the car.”

While we did not get to feel the car's power for ourselves, we figured that it must be quite a ride, and Hatelyconfirmed our suspicions. Apparently the owner thinks the same thing judging from their custom license plate. These cars are definitely a force to be reckoned with, even directly from Chevrolet. As seen on this example, with Chevy producing 460 hp from the naturally aspirated LT1, it leaves plenty of room for tuners. This is an awesome example of the things possible with the C7 and we are looking forward to seeing where else the public will take the Stingray!
