1972 Chevelle Malibu Nomad Station Wagon ratrod
1972 Chevrolet Chevelle Description
A very rare 1972 Chevrolet Malibu Nomad, 1 of 1. This wagon was a special order paint color, ordered by the State Of Washington Forestry Department in 1972. When the car was decommissioned by the Forestry Department it was purchased by an employee, who was the driver of the car since it was new. It sat in his garage since around 1984 when I purchased it from him and brought it to Iowa. Since then I have installed a new Edelbrock intake manifold, a new Holley 600 cfmcarb, new alternator, new master cylinder and a new fuel pump. This car runs great and has dual exhaust with Cherry Bombs. It does have some drawbacks. It has some rust in the floor pans, that could easily be fixed with some 18 guage steel. The tail gate doesn't open, not sure why; I'm not an expert with Chevy wagons, I didn't want to break anything so I didn't mess with it. It does need some work on the brakes, I will bleed them if it sells so it can be loaded safely. And the seats need to be reupholstered or use seat covers and the rear bumper needs to be straightened. This car would be a great cruiser and has awesome patina. The trim tag from this car is shown on chevellestuffwebsite, there is a note on the site about the strange paint code shown on the cowl tag on this car. I have included a screenshot of the website.
I can ship this car anywhere in the world at the buyers expense.
