1998 Chevrolet C/K Pickup 2500 Silverado Description

You will hopefully be bidding on my very good condition 98 C2500 4x4 Extra-cab Long Bed (8 ft bed). I have owned this truck since 2009 when it had about 52,000 miles on it. It now shows a little under 86,000 miles. The truck has been adult owned and well maintained and I can produce receipts and records to back that up.
The engine does not leak any fluids, burns no oil and has no smoke. The engine bay and engine itself are very clean. The transmission was replaced with a rebuilt unit and a Trans Go shift kit was installed at about 59,000 miles. 4x4 operates perfectly. The steering gear was replaced due to a leak. A new battery was installed this past winter. There are two Flowmaster mufflers on the exhaust for a nice deep sound. No portion of the emissions systems are effected by this. Other than the mufflers and the wheels, the truck is bone stock.
The interior is in very nice condition and shows very well. There is a small hole in the drivers seat cushion about the size of a pencil eraser. I added the white faced gauge panels because the original black one had started to de-laminate (very common with this generation truck). The carpet is in good condition with no rips or tears. The dash has no cracks. All accessories PW,PL,PS,PM work properly and the A/C blows cold. The factory CD player and tape player both work perfectly as well.
The exterior is in fairly good shape. There is some clear coat peeling here and there (pictured) and there are small scratches around the body. There is only one ding in the center of the tailgate about the size of a nickel. There is evidence of some body filler on the right rear of the bed next to the right tail light assembly. It has begun cracking in that spot (pictured). The rest of the body is solid and there is no rust or any other body filler anywhere. All glass is good and without cracks. Windshield was replaced about a year ago. The truck has after market American Racing Wheels on it, and the original wheels are also included with the sale. Overall, the truck shows well and looks nice with a great stance.
The topper is a bit rough. The glass in the front section was broken out while it sat off of the truck and was struck by a stone from a weed eater. It can easily be replaced by a professional window company. The rear hatch on the topper operates, but the struts are worn out so you have to fool with it a bit when closing it. It does lock with the key. The lights inside of the topper both work. Overall, the topper will keep your goods, tools, etc... safe and dry. It appears to have been a fairly expensive topper at some point.
I have grown attached to this truck because of its dependability. It's been a great truck and never let me down...not even once. I trust this truck enough to have been sending my wife to the mountains for work purposes, and she's never had a problem with it either. We purchased a 2017 Chevrolet pick up recently and that is truly the only reason for the sale of this truck. I have been as honest as I can and provided photos of what i considered to be the less than perfect spots on the truck.
