1990 Chevrolet C/K Pickup 1500 Description

For sale is a beautiful 1990 SS 454, This is not a cloned truck, if your in the market for one of these trucks, turn key look no further, from the deep black single stage ppg paint, to deep aggressive sounding exhaust, this truck is breath taking. This is a 2nd owner! and has been beautifully maintained as you can see in the pictures. This truck has never been raced or abused but about a 1000 miles ago a casting defect in the crank caused engine failure. I decided to start all over with the block and all, so I got in contact with the guys at Jim Bowen racing engines in Glenn Rock Pennsylvania!! they went with an all new Gen 11 454, @ a race quality stormer that Doubles the output of the original engine. The block was fully prepped bored 30 over with clevite bearings, and the guys went with a new Scat 4.250 stroke steel crank, and scat steel rods, Kieth Black forged pistons with total seal rings. They also added a double roller timing chain set, with a mechanical roller lifter cam, hardened pushrods, and roller rocker arms. The heads are aluminum oval port and professionally prepped before being bolted down with ARP head bolts. The cool thing is they kept the stock intake system, including the fuel injection setup, so it looks almost stock, and starts and idles like it did from the factory, The motor dynoed at 430 hp and 533 fpot.. Of course all the ancillaries were upgraded also, like a high volume oil pump with a welded pickup, a new alternator, and new high torque starter. the cooling system is also powered by a 4 core Be-cool radiator, i also added new flowmaster exhaust with 2 1/4 pipes. The TH400 3 speed automatic transmission was fully rebuilt and a shift kit was also added. The original rear end that comes factory in the truck with a 373 gear wasn't exactly what I was looking for provided I wanted to drive it on the interstate at normal rpm's, being that a 308 gear is not possible to buy for the factory rearend, I had the guys at petty Enterprises completely build a rearend with a 373 gear, so you can drive this truck anywhere provided the fact I didn't have to part ways with the factory RH400 transmission, in regards to installing the weaker 700R over drive transmission. I feel like you have the best of both worlds, I want to clarify that the factory rearend does go with the purchase of the truck, not to mention it's in perfect working condition with the factory gear, last but not least the factory wheels are in beautiful condition with a brand new set of BF goodrich radial TA tires.. This truck is beyond impressive inside and out, The preservation and care it has received would make it worth every penny of the asking price, but with a pro-built high-performance engine under the hood, its the biggest performance factory SS 454 I think you'll come across ..
