1978 Chevrolet C-10 Silverado Description

1978 C-10 2wd Big 10 regular cab short bed with 18K original miles. 350/350. Just an absolutely stunning example of an old truck. While it has been painted since 1978, the quality of the paint job is quite nice. Interior seems to be 100% original. Dash has some cracks in it, but otherwise the interior is darn near flawless. Desirable factory tach. Factory AC. Silverado package with headliner.

When the truck was painted, about 6 years ago, the bed was taken off the frame and the frame and underside of the bed and cab were cleaned up and painted black. Not just a quick rattle can job like you see on some, but time was taken to do it right and make it look like it was there from the factory.

The truck is dry underneath. Control arms, springs, spindles are all nice and clean black, as is everything else underneath the truck.

Under the hood looks like a 40 year old truck. It is super clean, but is stock. It looks like it should look for a clean, low mileage old truck.

Icannot document the miles as most 40 year old vehicles lose their history as they age. However, as a C10 guy for the last 30 years, this is the real deal. When you initially get in, the seat feels squishy like it would havewhen it was built 40 years ago. When you start the engine, it sounds very tame and stock. Shift into gear and it just kind of goes there. No crazy jerking or funny feelings as you run through the gears. (you hardly even notice that it has shifted). The factory steering wheel is big and the truck bounces as it goes down the road every time it hits a big swell like an intersection. Not a bad thing, just the feeling of an old truck that has not been modernized. The shocks do slow that down, but not like anewer truck.Turning a corner leaves you rolling to the side of the turn as the lack of a sway bar will do. It is a bit top heavy like they were back then, but the truck just follows the road without a problem. I don't know how to describe the feeling you get other than that - it is just an unmolested clean old truck. No rust!

I have a lot of pictures that I can send, but am only able to post 24 here on the internet. I also took some videos that I can send as well. I just need an email address. Please call me though. I don't want to just send videos and extra pictures to someone that just wants to see what I have and is not really interested in purchasing this truck. If you are serious about this truck, let's talk about it. This is a lot of money for an old squarebody, but this is a lot of truck!!

I live just outside of Phoenix and can either assist with transportation or can meet you at the airport and you could drive it home. The truck is perfectly road worthy as it sits right now. Phoenix is an easy direct flight from most major cities - fly out here and check it out for yourself. You can likely fly here and back and inspect it yourself the same day for afew hundred dollars.

Call me if you want to get serious about the truck and see more pictures or the videos that I mention earlier. I have it for sale locally so I do reserve the right to end this early if I should sell it prior to this listingending. I did include a best offer button that will allow you to think about what this truck is worth to you.
