1975 Chevrolet Corvette Description

1975 Chevrolet Corvette T Top Coupe.

Serial #1Z37J5S420763

This car has undergone a complete restoration and is being sold by the estate of the builder. The builder originally purchased this car for $5000 and then it underwent this complete restoration with a parts cost of $65,000 and his labor is not included in this amount.

.

This car is powered by a non-original 350 C.I engine, mated with an automatic transmission. The engine, which was out of a Chevrolet truck has been totally rebuilt with performance parts such as the steel crankshaft, 400 hp connecting rod, ”Edelbrock” heads, high performance GM 350 hp, 327 camshaft, LT1 style intake manifold and a “Holley” 750 C.I. carburetor. The original Pistons have been replaced with “Eutectic” performance slipper skirt styled Pistons. The engine also has “Edelbrock” chromed wate pumps and front pulleys. A “Bee Cool” aluminum radiator with two electric fans have also been installed. The air breather is also a “Edelbrock” and the valve covers were from GM. A set of stainless “Hooker” headers have replaced the stock exhaust manifolds.

All components were dismantled and either rebuilt or replaced, factory parts were used whenever possible. The factory paint on the car was removed and the car has been totally repainted. The body panels are smooth with minimal body waves, which are fairly common in Corvettes. The rear taillight panel is slightly misaligned with the rear quarter panel. The paint is very nice, however, during the repainting process some dirt fell on the paint just behind the rear window. The windshield is new. The gas cap emblem is new and the lid is an aluminum custom-made unit.

The automatic transmission is also been rebuilt using heavy-duty clutches, shift kit and a B&M torque converter. A B&M transmission cooler has also been installed.

All the weather seals, including both inner and outer window felts have been replaced. Both door panels are new high quality reproductions as are the blue carpets and seat upholstery. The console itself is new. The scuff plates have also been replaced with correct replacements. The dash pad is new and all components on the dash are like new. horn button was custom-made. The paint has been removed from the tilt steering column and the aluminum polished. a new “Auto Custom” radio/cassette system with a rear sound bar has been installed.

The chassis is in immaculate condition. The original steering has been replaced with a “Speed Direct” rack and pinion unit. All of the suspension components have been replaced. “Edelbrock” Performance shocks have been installed.

The stainless steel exhaust system is new. The factory exhaust manifolds have been replaced with “Hooker” competition headers. Chrome side exhaust pipes have been installed.

The frame and most of the suspension components were sandblasted and powder coated. The Goodyear tires are new. The front tires are P225 50ZR16and the rear tires are245 50ZR16. The American racing alloy wheels are also new.

The pictures were taken sometime ago but the car has sat exactly in the same heated garage since, we fed gas in from a gas can and started the car and run a little bit around the yard, when the owner finish the car he didn't want to leave gas in the new gas tank so the tank was left empty. So the car now about 1000 feet since the restoration.

I can help the buyer with shipping arrangements and customs clearance.
