This car was originally built and delivered to Jack Douglass Chevrolet in Hinsdale, Illinois as a lot of three race cars ordered. ( a Red, a White and a Blue) Jack remembers prepping all three. The blue one went to a local customer for road racing, Jack kept the white one for himself to Road Race, and the red one was prepped for race and delivered, never to be seen again, until I found it in Jordan, Minnesota in 1998.
No expense was spared on this restoration, right down to the one molecule thickness of the original casting material re-plated on the valve covers and intake. Motor is completely rebuilt to factory specs with all correct internals.
I had this car NCRS certified in August at the NCRS Chapter Meet in Long Lake and received second flight, by my choice.
The following is a quote from the regional NCRS Chapter Judge.

"Thanks again for bringing the car. You have an amazing LT-1 that is in very rare company for being as true to factory production as it is.

Let me know how else I can be of service."

This car is just 59 points shy of a Top-Flight certification for a couple of minor reasons, by my own doing.I installed radial tires for obvious safety reasons (23 points).I installed a new modern battery instead of the old style with the vent hoses which are known to leak noxious gases inside the interior (36 points) The vent hoses and battery compartment seal are present. For some reason that day the interior and back up lights didn't work (25 and 12 points respectively) The lights have since been fixed and work flawlessly.
If you choose, you could easily replace these 2 things. Imagine the fun of having it re-certified for an easy Top Flight Award. This should also jump the value of the car some as well.
I'm happy to work with your transporter or shipper.
Thanks for looking.I'm sure I've forgotten something, please let me know if you have any questions or would like any other photos.
