THE BODY AND PAINT - The body on this truck is in over all goodcondition and the floor pans, kick panels are solid, they look good with light surface rust only. The bed and bed step sides are original to the truck the rear fenders are fiberglass replacements and fit perfectly as you can see. The cab corners have some plastic, but are presentable. The top of the bed rails and the stake pockets are in good original condition and are not beat up or damaged.The inside of the bed is not beat up or overly abused original bed rails are intact and are in good condition. I just refinished the wood with 4 coats of marine grade varnish. Both of the doors are in good original condition but do have some plastic.. Both of the inner fender wells look good. The frame is solid and straight, and was wired wheeled and painted satin black. There is a class 3 heavy duty hitch in back. The hood hinges are in good condition and they are not sprung. The rear tail gate is solid, and closes well. The glass has some scratches and is not perfect, but are fine for driver level. Has a spare, scissor jack and lug wrench. This truck has a great stance and rake, it is very cool! This truck gets the thumbs up everywhere I go!!
THE INTERIOR- The inside of thistruckis ingood clean original condition. The originalfront seat is in very good condition with no tears or snags in the seat cover. The original steering wheel is in good condition, along with horn button that works. The original instrument cluster is clean and in good working order. The gold paint on the door panels is in good condition. The heater and blowercontrols are intact. The dash paint is ingood condition and overall the inside of thistruck is clean. The original AM radio is in working order.
THE MOTOR- This truckis equipped with a stock V8 motor. Thistruck runs well. I had the original 2 Barrel carburetor professionally rebuilt. I replaced and upgraded the original canister type filter with a spin on type filter. I replaced the points condenser car, rotor, plugs and wires, along with PVC valve and air filter. The valve cover gaskets were replaced. The batter is new.
THE TRANS - The transis the original granny-low 4-speed manual transmission on floor and it’s in good working order. The original rear end is a nice tight rear end that does not clunk. When you drop this truck into gear there is no universal joint clunks or noises. I just greased the entire truck, and changed the oil and topped off the rear and differential.
THE OVERALL- This C20 step side truckis a nice driver that was well taken care of and was not beat on or abused.This is a very original truck. This is a hard truck to find in this condition. The frontend components all look to be original and the truck steers straight for being a 1963 Chevy truck. The front tires are good, rears have some side wall cracks. The American Racing wagon wheels were just refinished. Thistruck is equipped with the original stock springs and this truck is stock height. The front windshield has a very small star crack that has been repaired, and has some scratches from last owner when he painted it. Side widows and rear also have a few small scratches. The windshield wipers and are brand new. The original electrical is in good working order and is in good condition The door rubbers and felts are intact. The driver’s side window has a new regulator and new felts. The brakes are inworking order, and have lots of wear left on pads, and stop the truck well and evenly. The exhaust is in good condition and not leaking. This truck runs, drives, shifts and stops well, and I just used it on vacation for 2 weeks with now issues. The bottom side of thistruck is not under-coated from the factory and it is clear to see that it is not a rotted-out mess. Thisis an affordable classic truck that is a hard one to findin this condition, and this is a nice clean truck to own.
