Having been introduced in 1968 and continued through the 1982 model year the Corvette C3 was one of the longest running sports cars of its time. With a whole host of GM's latest technology the Corvette represented the best of the best. The 1978-1979 models featured a bunch of changes that would give the already ten year old design a new bit of style. Most notable was the rear glass fastback style which not only increased cargo capacity but also lowered aerodynamic drag. Other new features inclu...ded a new "aircraft inspired" center gauge cluster passenger glovebox and a new dual intake for the L82 trim. The L82 was a mid range performance option in the lineup but could do 0-60 in 6.6 seconds and hit 127 mph which were impressive numbers for the day. GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this excellent bargain 1979 Corvette. Finished in factory black the exterior of the car is in decent shape. The bodywork is straight and intact but the paint has some fading and small chips here and there. Trim is intact and the glass looks good. Factory aluminum wheels are fitted on Firestone tires that have good tread. The interior is in nice shape with comfortable bucket seats that show minimal wear. The dash is in good shape and all gauges appear to work Car is equipped with power windows and power locks and the interior fan blows. The dome light works as well.
