1964 Chevrolet Impala Description

We are the 2nd owners of this car which we bought in 1985. This car was originally bought and driven in Kentucky. It has been a part of our family and involved in many family memories. Car was always stored inside. Storage space requires to be sold now. Original owner title copy and paperwork available. The car is in very good but unrestored condition. Original motor with some internal upgrades was rebuilt in 1990. Convertible top replaced in 1985 and works well. Many of the original items upgraded were saved, and will be included. Many receipts available. New brakes and tires. Only driven in nice weather and by non-smokers. As stated this car is very original with the exception of an aftermarket aluminum intake, Holley 600 carb. and Corvette valve covers. It runs so much better than the original cast iron intake and carb. It starts easily every time and runs very smooth. This is a powerful and responsive 327 that easily cruises the highways. I do have the original intake, carb. and valve covers for the new owner if desired. Also an original key [with the code never punched out] and several period books with the car. This is not a show car but has been entered in local club shows and gatherings. Please ask any specific questions or concerns prior to bidding. Car is sold as is and no warrenty or guarantees. See photo's for appearance issues. There is some rust and bodywork repair needed to be show quality . The car was repainted in original color in 1970 by the original owner. AGAIN-Please ask any and all questions prior to bidding, and I will answer honestly and with pictures if applicable. This car deserves to go to a good home, and I want a pleasent and agreeable transaction. This is not a show car, not restored, and not perfect; but it is an impressive appearing and reliable driver. We receive many compliments and accolades whenever driven. This Impala would be an easy and all number correct restoration if desired. There are certainly other 64 Chevys for sale, but very few original and unmolested survivors.
