1957 Chevrolet Pick up Restoration project

1957 Chevrolet Other Pickups 3200 Description

This is a 1957 Chevy pick up restoration project - no title - Bill of Sale Only - But, the truck has been cleared by the Arkansas State Police, I have a certification of vin inspection, there are no records found, it is clear for a bonded,salvage,rebuilt or other title process in your state. This is a 3200 with the longer wheelbase, but it does not have the longest 96" bed, this bed is about 90". It does not run, It is a fairly solid starting point for a restoration, custom, hot rod,etc. It does have some rust in both cab corners but not too bad, the cab floor is solid and looks like it was undercoated years ago, the drivers side step and rocker is solid, drivers door sags some when opened but hinges/hinge mounts look ok. Passenger step has some rust,rocker is pretty good, door doesnt sag but both door bottoms are rotted out, passenger door has more rust up higher on door. Both lower fenders could use a patch panel. The hood is not a 57 and needs alignment, there are minor dents on hood and body. The inner fender, radiator support and firewall look very solid, The bed rails are very good, fenders are good,not rusted out but passenger side has old bondo chipping off. The frame was cleaned up years ago and still looks very good, nice chassis,rear end, front axle,etc. The vin on the cab pillar and the frame match. Needs new windshield and side glass. The vin indicates that this was not a V8 truck, probably a 6 cylinder 3 speed - but it does have a small v8,casting#3720991 - a 56-57 265? and 3 speed, no drive shaft,no radiator, no carburator, missing other parts,etc.the motor was not locked up but with the compression I could not turn it 360 degrees by hand, with the spark plugs out and turning at the flywheel it turns smoothy, complete rotations, no interference - so it should be a good motor, It will need a new wiring harness, etc,etc. but overall a worthwhile project, you will need to trailer this home or arrange shipping to your garage Please ask questions before bidding, Thanks
