Selling my 1955 Chevrolet 3800 flatbed truck. It is a one ton dual wheel truck with a very nice steel framed bed with treated wood and backboard. I bought this truck about 3 years ago and drove it home in the rain at night without any problems. The previous owner didn't know anything about its history so I can only guess about the following information based on my inspection and experience with it. It appears to be an older restoration with new factory stamped floor. Paint is old and checking and peeling in some places. The interior was redone including painting the inside, still looks good, installing new headliner panel, weatherstripping, glass channels, windshield and rear window rubber, floor mat, wiring harness, seat cover (now showing wear). The tires were replaced back then and although they have great tread, they are dry cracked (all hold air and don't go flat). The engine and transmission are in great shape, runs and shifts as it should. No leaks from either the drivetrain or the cooling system. Everything on the truck works as it should including the heater, wipers, lights, horn, turn signals, brake lights and dome light. The emergency brake works great. The "stomp starter" has been converted to the ignition key. Brakes are very good with no leaks. The windows are all good but windshield has some wiper marks. In the time I have owned it, I have replaced the front bumper, rebuilt the carb, replaced the mud flaps, installed a new fuel pump and a new battery.
