1952 Chevy Styleline Deluxe 4 Dr. Sedan
1952 Chevrolet Other Styleline Description
The good: All trim and chrome in place and perfect. No rust. Doors and trunk newly weatherstripped. Aftermarket 4 speaker CD/MP3/Aux. stereo w/remote. All glass perfect. Within the last 1000 miles new features: radiator, wiper motor conversion from vacuum to electric, 12 volt system w/alternator, new starter, re-built powerglide tranny, beautiful re-upholstered interior and headliner. (Seats not done, they are just fine) new brakes, tires, master cylinder, brake lines. New fuel pump and all fuel lines. Re-built carb. All lights and gauges work except for odometer and clock. Manual choke, comes with professional shop manual. The bad: Paint is fair. No rust but the color is terrible and there is some black stuff ?tar? on the rear which I can't get off. The rear license plate light is missing, but the wiring is in place. The big issue is that the 216 motor is tired. It will run 60 mph all day on the straight and level, but it labors up a hill. Also, from a dead stop it takes a bit of gas and time to get it going, which is a pain when you are doing in-city driving. However...the successful bidder will get parts for a short block, as I was in the process of starting the motor re-build. I have a newly turned crank, a "hot" cam, bored and straightened connecting rods, and new lifters. These will fit a 235 or 291 block. You will also get a custom made engine stand that comes apart for easy storage. It is heavy duty and will accommodate the long heavy block. Also will throw in a car cover.
