A more conservative approach, with "jet smooth" lines,evident with theaircraft inspired side trim. Chevrolet changed much of the body lines from the more wilder '59's. The new look for 1960 suited the glamorous top of the line Impala,as Chevrolet reshaped and separated the "bat wing" tail fins, and added 3 round tail lamps to the rear. Additional features included a short molding strip extending back from the headlights, twin pairs of bar molding above and below the fender strip, the quarter panel missile ornaments had 2 moldings streaking rearward, and the area between them was filled with a white insert and Impala script.
