For sale is my 1966 Chrysler Newport 4 door that has the 383 V8 with a 2 barrel carb, and automatic transmission. I have a clear Indiana title for it. It is a really nice car for its age. I bought it from a older gentleman a few months ago. His mother gave it to him after his father passed. His father had the car semi restored which probably had to be 20 years ago. I bought it and put another battery, new starter, points, condenser, coil, plugs, wires, fuelfilterand abrake master cylinder. The car runs pretty good. I know the carb probably needs cleaned or maybe rebuilt. The gas tank was dripping pretty good from some pin holes in it. I bought a patch kit and patched it. It still barely drips. So I would say the tank needs replaced, or take the tank out and fix it properly. The interior is original carpet, and seat covers. Carpet is presentable but has wear and a few stains. You can tell there is some body filler above the wheel. Because there is a little bit of waviness. On the drivers side there is some cracks in the paint by the wheel wells. From underside you see somebody has patched the lower panels behind the wheel wells. The frame is solid with no rust holes. Everything has been undercoated from underneath. I bleed the brakes all out and got them working, but I think they could use a little more help. But the brakes are working. The 383 engine sounds and runs good, when you punch it down it will burn the tires. Engine runs good. Carb does drip gas and needs rebuilt.. The paint looks very presentable on this car. The lower piece of chrome trim on the passenger side rear door is missing, and so is the antenna for the radio. Original AM radio is there. Car has 86,497 miles on it. The car is solid and I have no found any rust holes in the body or floor boards. The car is a very presentable cruiser. Tires look old. Car has mostly been in storage for at least the last 5 years. Original seat is ripped on drivers side. Please check out the pictures real good. I am selling this car as is, all sales are final. So make sure this is exactly what you need before you bid or buy.
