2002 Chrysler PT Cruiser Description

2002 PT Cruiser with real wood panels and roof rack. Wooden sides are 1 year old, and are solid ash with mahogany inserts. They are attached to the doors with stainless steel bolts instead of glue just like the vintage woodys are. Roof rack is solid ash and sits on a standard PT Cruiser roof rack. It can be easily lifted off when you don't need it. It has a solid aluminum custom grill and custom chrome tail lights that looks a lot nicer than the original stuff. Also has a 49 Plymouth ship hood ornament on the hood.
Finish: Finish is epoxy sealer with a spar varnish finish coat. (This is what's used on wooden boats, and holds up to rain and weather remarkably well, but of course will last a lot longer if its protected from the weather.) Worn spots can be lightly sanded and touched up with another coat of spar varnish. The car was made to be similar to the 49 Plymouth woody I built that's in one of the pictures, and finish on that car still looks great after 5 years. (The Plymouth woody is for sale too, but is appraised at 60K.)
Condition: Timing belt was done at 150K (80,000M?) and it has a new clutch. No leaks, no warning lights, and everything is in good working order. AC blows cold and it drives like a new car. Paint has some nicks and scratches, but looks pretty good for its age. No rips or tears in the upholstery.
