2006 Chrysler PT Cruiser Description

This 5 speed manual vehicle has a recently replaced clutch, pressure plate, throwout bearing and recently replaced shifter cables and transmission fluid (see scan of work order in photos). Although the vehicle runs and is being driven daily, it needs new valves on cylinder number one, where the valves are tapping and the compression is showing low because of the valve issue. Rebuilt heads are easily available for this engine on ebay for $300 and under. This would make a great little project car, which can still be driven as is (note the check engine light is on due to the misfiring on cylinder one). I'd put a new head on it myself, but I don't have time due to an overly heavy work schedule. Also a great car for not too much money for newer drivers who want to learn how to drive a manual transmission.

The car has the usual scratches and dings and paint issues for an older car, but it still looks OK. Car also include BOTH regular tires and the worn SNOW tires that are still on the rims. Other than the valves on cylinder one, the engine should be in great shape as this car has been run on Mobile ONE Synthetic Oil with heavy duty filterssince about 36000 miles. Most of it's life has been running with pure synthetic lubricantin the engine.

The price of this car reflects the recent replacement cost of the replacement clutch and shifter cables. You might find a manual transmission car, but not likely with a fresh coupling system.
