2009 Chrysler Aspen Limited Description
Hello and thank you for looking at my auction. My name is Joe and I sell vehicles differently than most dealers. Buying your next car or truck through one of my NO RESERVE auctions is the best way to take the games out of your next automotive purchase. I personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how it runs and drives. Please keep in mind that I am not a mechanic. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my knowledge and ability. Please take the time to read this entire description as well as our Terms & Conditions carefully BEFORE asking questions or placing a bid as most answers can be found in at least one of those places. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction. Up for a NO RESERVE auction is a 2009 Chrysler Aspen Limited. The Aspen is based off of the rugged and reliable Dodge Durango, but is a much more upscale version. I will start off by saying that this auction is a little different than my other auctions, in that I personally put the last 2,500 miles on this truck. Every winter, I pack up the family and drive to Florida for vacation. This was the vehicle I chose to take to Florida this year so those 2.500 miles were done over a two week period. I would rate the exterior of this Aspen Limited to be in ABOVE AVERAGE CONDITION for it's age and mileage. As you can see, this is a good looking truck. It is finished in gray with chrome accents and factory chrome wheels, which look great. As with any older vehicle, please expect a few flaws and imperfections commensurate with age and mileage. On this specific vehicle, the worst I can say is that there a few rub marks on the front and rear bumper...not bad for the miles. The finish has a mile deep shine and looks as smooth as glass. The chrome mirrors, grille and body accents look great with the chrome wheels. The body lines up nice and straight. The hood, doors and tail gate all open and close easily. All of the glass and lenses are intact. The factory chrome wheels show well and are wrapped in a matching set of Michelin's with good tread all around. This Aspen Limited also has the factory towing package with class 3 trailer hitch. Please take your time and check out each of the photos carefully to see how clean this SUV looks. I would also rate the interior of this Aspen to be in ABOVE AVERAGE CONDITION for it's age and mileage. As you open the door, you are greeted my a well appointed interior. The two tone dark and light gray look good against the dark gray exterior. The door cards are clean and tight. The carpets show well for their age throughout the interior. The dash and headliner are clean, too. Throughout the interior, light wood accents give a luxurious feel. The leather seats are clean and comfortable throughout. The only visible wear is on the outer portion of the driver's seat cushion from sliding in and out. It's minor, but it is there. Both front seats are power operated and heated. The power windows, locks, seats, mirrors and sunroof all work properly. The passenger's window sometimes will go back down a little when you try and close it...maybe the track needs cleaned. It's a little annoying but it always goes up. The rear tail gate has power assist for opening and closing. It can be operated via the key remote or a button inside the cabin and works flawlessly. This is a pretty well equipped SUV. The audio system is the factory touch screen multimedia entertainment system played through Alpine Premium Audio speakers. The touch screen controls all work properly and there is an in-dash CD / DVD player hidden behind the screen. There is also an auxiliary audio input to play music or listen to podcasts from your mobile device. For the rear passengers, there is a factory flip down TV screen to play movies. There is also auxiliary inputs in the back for portable devices to play video games or movies from another source. The movie is controlled from either the factory remote control or from the front touch screen. I can personally verify that the DVD entertainment system works, haha. Additionally, the sound through the Alpine speakers is quite impressive. It actually sounded like we were in a movie theater during some of the special effects scenes. Access to the 3rd row is simple and there is plenty of room back there. The 3rd row can also be easily folded down to open up an impressive amount of cargo capacity. Again, please take your time to check out each of the photos carefully. Mechanically, this Aspen has proven itself to be quite road worthy. Like I stated previously, I have personally put the last 2,500+ miles on this truck with absolutely no trouble. The 5.7L Hemi V8 starts easily and runs smoothly. I didn't notice any leaks and the engine does not smoke. I had her serviced in SC on our way down so the she won't be due for another oil service for about 3-4,000 miles. The suspension feels tight and well sorted. You can hear a little rattle from, what I believe to be, the swaybar end links...but she's rock solid on the road. Steering and braking feel excellent. The engine makes great power and feels as smooth as silk. The big Hemi has a healthy growl to it. The engine keeps perfect temperature at all times. The airbag light stays on. The check engine light came on a few hundred miles into the trip, but then went off on it's own. When I got back, I Google'd the codes stored in the computer's history (P3400 and P3497) and it seems most people say that these engines are sensitive to the correct type and/or level of oil. Thinking back, it did go off a few hours after I had the oil service done so it was probably just overdue for service. The automatic transmission engages smoothly and shifts perfectly with no issues. Out on the highway, she drives nice and straight with absolutely no complaints. She cruises easily at 80-90 mph without breaking a sweat. What was even more impressive was that my total trip average (including off highway driving) was just over 18mpg...not bad for a full sized V8 SUV. The 4WD system is tested and working properly. It is basically an AWD set up that can be locked into 4WD when needed, with high and low ranges. Please bid with confidence. When most dealers say you can drive their car anywhere, they're guessing. You can literally fly in and drive this truck cross-country. I've personally taken this truck to Florida and back. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding.
