2001 Chrysler Town and Country LXI minivan Dark blue.
2001 Chrysler Town & Country LXI Description
Van has a Rebuilt Transmission with only 27,000 miles driven since. The Motor is in excellent shape.
Very reliable van that can be driven anywhere.
All power windows go up and down fine. Has an aftermarket radio with USB, SD card slot and AUX cable input that
works great.
Tires are good but a couple need replacing in the next year or so.
Paint shines real good and looks really nice. There was some rusted areas between the wheels on either side. The
rusted trim had been shaken out and rust inhibitor put in. Could use some repair there in the long run. There is a bra
and i don't know what's underneath.
Could be some rust at the edge. The windshield has a wiper scrape but does not look too bad. My wife used the wiper
with the rubber eroded and it left a mark but nothing serious. Has power sliding doors on either side but we don't use them much
as they need some attention. There are a couple of small dings above the wheel wells and a couple of tiny bubbles that
are touched up with paint. There are other areas touched up with paint as well that were fading.
It has brand new shiny headlights which were replaced because the original ones were yellowed out.
Van has a DVD player built in overhead. Its a very nice one and has connectors in the back to hook up a DVD player.
We never used it but it also has a couple of wireless headphones that i have somewhere. Our kids are a little older, so
they were more busy on their phones recently while on trips. Carpet is in general clean, except might need cleaning
in the back as i saw a few dirty spots.
Car is inspected until March, 2017 so nothing is needed immediately for inspection.
You can use it immediately and fix some things over time. The Check Engine light came on but i think its something minor
when i checked the code. Most indications were that it could be a simple Gas cap. But it runs so good, has to be something
simple.
The headliner was loose and it has been affixed with headliner clips so now its all tight and in place.
Might need new brake pad on driver rear side. I have new pads, never installed them.
Air conditioning works great and so does the heat. The back bumper has a little small localized crack due to someone backing
into it but its not noticeable that much as its a small part of it.
Has had new brakes, alternator, A/C, transmission replaced ($2100 for transmission alone).
This van can be used for family transportation or a work van with seat removed from the back.
Very reliable and will take you anywhere.
I have taken this van multiple times to Virginia, Poconos, Niagara Falls, New York and Canada.
Note: I have listed everything good and bad about the van and if i missed something, its not because i am trying to hide anything.
