2002 Chrysler PT Cruiser Touring 2.4l Wagon Gray 106k
2002 Chrysler PT Cruiser wagon Description
2002 Chrysler PT Cruiser Touring EditionVehicle was purchased in 2014 from a local dealership as a third car for my daughter. The Cruiser has done its job and she recently purchased a new Ford Focus for her college transportation starting this fall.Prior to purchase, I had asked that the radiator be replaced and the cooling systeminspected andserviced. The dealership whom I will not name followed through with the request and documented that a pressure check was done on the cooling system after installing the new radiator and replacing the water pump. The vehicle was then transferred over to us and put into service.Since the transfer of title, I have had new front brakes, rotors and battery installed (2015)New pulley, belt and belt tensioner installed along with a new motor mount, front wheel bearing and rim(2016)The vehicle is very solid and runs great. Transmission shifts as intended and still feels tight.I now have 5 vehicles and have no need or desire to 1, pay all the insurance 2, make any further repairs or maintain a vehicle that does not get driven which leads me to what needs fixed or what is not functioning as intended.Prior to listing the vehicle I had the Cruiser inspected by a trusted mechanic who did the brake work and wheel bearing replacement in 2015&16These were his findings, Fog lights not operating ( issue was not researched), rear hatch hydraulic pinions should be replaced, rear brakes will need serviced soon but do function, water pump is chirping and needs replaced? I questioned this based on the new water pump install prior to purchase and had additional research done. It seems that the vehicle has a tendency to run hot but not all the time which led him to think that the pump is on its way out. I had the repair shop run a co2 test on the coolant just for good measure and it passed. This was done to check the head gasket for any possible leaks. The body is very solid and shows well.(pictured is the only major issue which is under the rocker below the drivers side rear door) The rims are well above average in appearance and have no bends or curb rash. Tires still maintain good tread depth and exhaust has no leaks. There are a few minor scratches on thepassenger sidefront fender and a small dent the size of a pea on the passenger side rear quarter. There a 2 sets of keys that convey with the sale, one set has the keyless entry key fob. Original owners manual, warranty booklet and cover are present as well. This car isbeing sold as is, I have explained to the best of my ability the overall condition so there are no surprises. I read the other listings of cars that are 15 years old and can't believethatpeople state that everything is100%. I'd much ratherbe as specific as possible so there are no issues in the future and I am able to maintain not only my feedback but my reputation as well.I drove the car24 miles today (so the odometer reading pictured is off just a bit.) without issue, temperature gauge did not move beyond center and heard little to no chirping from the defective water pump. The vehicle shows no signs of anything being wrong but I would not recommend a long haul drive based on the information gathered from the service center.I have many other pictures so if there is something you would like to see that is not in the listing please contact me.I reserve the right to stop this auction at any time Please contact me for the exact mileage at time of purchase, the vehicle does get driven from time to time. This vehicle was originally listed on April 2nd and I pulled the listing because the engine light kicked on. It was throwing a P0551 code which ended up being a power steering sensor switch. The switch was not faulty, the electrical connections were removed and cleaned and the PCM reset and no more engine light.
