2006 Chrysler PT Cruiser Description

For sale here is a 2006 Chrysler PT Cruiser GT Turbo with factory sunroof, CD/SATaudio, two tone leather, rear spoiler and an automatic transmission. This car was a one owner car out of Northern Florida with low miles, clean as a whistle and a full dealer service history. And the color is a stunning silver green and is ultra rare.
Like all of my cars, this was the beginning of a tasteful transformation that always starts with basic, routine maintenance, mixed with a performance mindset:
  • Alignment
  • Granatelli Coil Pack
  • MSD Wires
  • NGK Iridium Plugs
  • OEM Idle Air Sensor
  • OEM PCV Valve
  • Throttle Body Clean
  • Full Coolant Flush with New OEM Hoses
  • OEM Thermostat (rare)
  • Transmission Flush
  • Brake Fluid Flush
  • Power Steering Flush
  • Mobil One 0W-40 Oil/Filter
Then came the parts that would help make reliable, consistent performance:
  • Wilwood 6 Piston Front Brakes with 2 Piece Rotors
  • Syked Custom ECU
  • Rear Brakes: Hawk Pads with StopTech Cryo Rotors
  • KYB Shocks and Struts
  • Tein Springs
  • K+N Intake
  • 3"Downpipe with Wideband Bung
  • 2.5" Solo Performance Exhaust
  • Saleen Gauge Pod Housing
  • Autometer Boost & Wideband Gauges
Then the cosmetics:
  • German OEM Leather Steering Wheel
  • Mustang Black Billet Shift Knob
  • ADR Propulsion 19x8.5" Rims
  • Noble Sport NS-20 Tires
  • Hood Deflector
  • Yellow Tint Fogs
  • M3 Power Mirrors
  • OEM Floor Mats
  • Full Clay/Polish/Sealant (Chemical Guys)
The result here is a truly remarkable vehicle. Smooth, torque rich turbo power and crisp handling without being loud or punishing. It is a refined experience overall and this is by far the best PT I've ever owned. And for those who don't now just how amazing these little cars were from the factory, check this out:

"From the skunkworks shop of SRT, the same folks responsible for the Viper, Ram Viper, and the current Hellcat, once came a fast little sucker called the Dodge SRT4. It was a Neon with a built turbo motor, manual trans and a limited slip diff. Oh, and it had no mufflers, stock. That little monster is still slaying far more expensive cars to this day. But finding a used example that isn't molested by untrained hands is tough and the prices are still high.

Enter the PT GT. Same chassis without the IRS, but tons more room and the same turbo motor. The same motor that came stock with piston oil squirters, shot peened crank, Mahle pistons, forged rods with cracked caps, Inconel exhaust valves and an integrated turbo/exhaust manifold with a reverse rotation Mitsubishi turbo. These stout little motors can easily handle over 400whp and are built to last."

But alas, all things must come to an end and my next car is here. Whoever claims this car will be very, very happy. Check out my feedback and bid with confidence, you won't be disappointed!

Stock the car would peak at 8psi and hold 6psi. Syked allows the stock turbo to spoil up to 12-13psi and hold 8-10psi depending on gear. The result is a massive increase in driving fun and power, and still well within the realm of reliability for the stock engine and turbo.
