1949 Chrysler WINDSOR 4 DOOR Description

BEAUTIFUL 68000 MILE 1949 CHRYSLER WINDOR 4 DR. This unbelievable car has a near perfect original interior. Mechanically perfect-runs and drives like new. (The usually "bullet proof" fluid drive shifted correctly about 90% of the time when I got it. I had the transmission replaced - it shifts 100% now!!) It has been repainted the original grey color. The collector thought it is an excellent repaint. It is not a show paint job - it is very presentable, however. The leather "padded" dash has no cracks or discoloration. The steering wheel has one very small crack. The wide white walls are near new. I purchased this car a couple of years ago from a Chrysler collector in Michigan. He said the car originally came from Iowa (Iowa '49 plate on front stays with the car - the '49 Missouri is mine and I will keep) He felt it was not driven in the winter as no signs of rust - ever. Look at the trunk pictures. There is a repair in the headliner which is mostly covered when the sunvisor is up, The passenger carpet has a missing piece - covered by floor mat. I pictured these as best I could as well as the worn drivers arm rest. I chose not repair these, as they say it can only be original once!! The pictures show the color of the seats as blue and brown??? Also the sun makes it look like defects in the seats. THESE ARE REFLECTIONS - THE SEATS ARE BROWN AND PERFECT. No doubt covered when new. I've driven the car about 1000 miles and would not hesitate to drive across the country. I'll be 78 before the auction ends. Promised the wife I would start reducing the collection. We drove this car the least, so I guess it is the one to sell. There is no reserve, the high bidder will get it. Oh, yes, the high bidder must make arrangements to pay and pick up the car prior to July 12th., or wait until after July 29th. (going on a Model T Tour) I'd like $500 deposit by Pay Pal, the balance wire transfer, cash or certified cashiers check - cleared before the car leaves. I will help load if shipped. Also, the car is for sale locally so I reserve the right to end the auction early.
In reviewing the pictures, I noticed again that the reflections from the sun make some of the upholstery look faded or marked - this is a reflection. I took picture of the engine compartment, but couldn't find them. It has not been detailed, but is clean. Some fraying of original wires - but very functional.
I've tried to describe this car as correctly as possible. I've sold 4 or 5 cars on Ebay over the years and have 100% feedback. A gentleman in Germany bought two Model A's from me. I still get a Christmas Card from him every year.
