2001 PT Cruiser Limited Edition
-Blue with grey leather interior.
-Power steering, power brakes, air conditioning, power moonroof, Stereo with CD Player, Cruise Control, Power Windows, Power door locks
This PT was purchased brand new in 2001 by my in-laws. They gifted it to my daughter 2 years ago, and she drove it until it began to overheat. I troubleshooted it, and found that it was leaking radiator fluid. I had a local shop determine that it was leaking from the water pump. I further found that this is a common problem with these vehicles.
My daughter is now getting ready to go off to college and will not be able to take a car for the next two years, thus we are selling it. I have, however, already purchased the parts kit for the repair. If you are handy, you can install it. If not, have a local shop do it. I received a quote for ~$400 to install the timing belt and water pump.
The timing belt comes with the water pump kit and is recommended to be changed out at the same time, because they are both located on the same side of the motor.
Other than that, the vehicle seems to me in very nice shape for it's age. The body seems in above average condition for it's age.
