She's perfect. Runs like a top around town and at 75 down the freeway.Built from the groundup, CMC bodyon ahighlymodified 1972 VW frame, Volkswagen Type 1 engine was taken apart to the block, rebuiltand bored out to 2007cc, FK-65 cam by Engle Racing Cams(now est 100-110hp), 78mm Scat forged counterweighted crank, Cima 90.5mm stroker Pistons and Cylinders, Cima rings, Holley electric fuel pump and regulator, Gene Berg dual port-semi hemi cutheads with heavy duty valve springs -chrome moly retainers ported and polished, Manley 35.5mm intakes and 32mm exhaust,dual Kadron 40mm carbs with Knecht airfilters on a modified Kadron intake manifold, modified Pace Setter exhaust with 1 3/4 Porsche tail pipes, widened 40hp heater boxes, 36hp type fan shroud with dog house, Porsche linkage with modified bell crank, Porsche oil breather with modified VW generator stand, Transaxle 1972 Type 1 IRS build by Transform in Long Beach CA, upgraded to four wheel competition disc brakes, custom made wheels by Truedesign in Denver CO, all fluid lines are now braided stainless steel with banjo fittings,IRS rear sway bar added to really hug the road. Car has the full top with the door window inserts and a matchingtonneau cover.Many original Porsche 356 parts installed (steering column,steering wheel, bumperetts, radio face, air cleaners, linkage...) The car is a show winner, parade favorite anda complete head turner (wife calls it the "bug light" because it draws so much attention anytime it's out on the road or just parked in a parking lot.Just enough "patina" that it truly looks like it's an original 1957 Speedster.
