1972 Citroën DS21 Description

I have been with EBay for several years and I want to keep my reputation with EBay at 100%.
I have a great 1972 Citroen DS. 4 speed manual transmission. 56,680 miles. I was told it is the actual miles. This is a USA spec vehicle that was sold in USA new by a Citroen dealer. Owners manual and some service records are included with the car. The car is a California vehicle since new and has never left the state. 1972 is the last year Citroen imported these cars into the USA. This variant is the last and latest design which began in 1972 through the end of production in 1975. The hydraulic system works great. Clutch and breaks are in excellent condition.

The exterior:

The exterior is in good presentable shape. It has been repainted. It was painted the original color. The paint still shines decently, and presents itself well for an old car. It has been touched up couple areas that had small chips. This car is very solid and always kept indoor. The body weather strips and seals are in good shape.

The chassis:

The unibody chassis appears to be original, and shows no sign of welding or collision repair The unibody is rust free besides two minor areas. The original trunk floor pan has rust in the lowest part. There is zero rust on the adjacent frame rails next to the trunk floor. The wheel wells are rust free including the areas above the rear wheels. There is rust on the rear of the car where the trunk lid seal contacts the vehicle. (common problem) Suspension, spheres were replaced at some point and are in good working order. The brakes are in perfect working order and great shape, rotors are not warped and brake pads have more than 70% life. Parking brake operates properly. There is no play in the suspension, wheel bearings and steering system. The steering rack boots are intact and the rack shows no sign of leakage.

The drivetrain:

The engine starts, runs, quietly, and idles smoothly. Transmission upshifts and downshifts smoothly, clutch does not slip. Engine does not run hot, nor does it produce any smoke. The radiator was flushed. There are no coolant leaks. CV joints and boots appear original and are intact with no issues. This Citreon has been well maintained

The interior:

Interior of the vehicle is all original besides the headliner that was recently replaced. Vehicle electrical system operates, and all lights and warning systems work well. Dashboard is in great shape showing no cracks at all. Glass is also in good shape, windshield has no cracks however has some scratches from wipers that can be polished out.

This vehicle is a turn key decent example of what is now a very rare breed especially here in the US. The car can be purchased and used as a daily driver without issues. There is an aftermarket CD player in the glove compartment.
