Selling my beautiful Citroen AK400 truckette. This is a rare vehicle in the US. as they estimate thereto be only 100 to 150 of all years in the US. They were used in Europe as Post Office delivery vans and all types of tradesmen, ie plumbers used them. And for a delivery or farm work. Therefore they were ususally driven until they died. In Bangui, the capital of Central African Republic, in 1976, I encountered 4 French men driving 2 truckettes from Paris to South Africa, in 6 weeks. I was impressed, this was a tough vehicle that could tackle the Sahara!!!! There are at least 4 things that make my truckette unique and valuable. It has a factory roof rack that I had powder coated black along with the 5 tire rims. This truckette was manufactured in Spain, and lived in Cuenca, Spain, a dryer climate.. It has all the original stickers that are required for a truck to operate in Europe. It has a back seat, probably for children, sometimes the model was called a Weekender. The previous owner did a wonderful job of adding two wood louvered cabinets in the rear.
I installed an electronic ignition, so no need to ever change the points again.. It starts, shifts, and drives beautifully. It comes with the original engine hand crank. The engine is the 28mph version I have owned the truckette for 11 years, always garaged and never driven in the Winter. The speedo reads in Kms, and I probably drove the truckette less than 50 miles each year. This is a rare opportunity to bid on a truckette.
Winning bidder must deposit $500 to my Pay Pal, the balance when picking up the vehicle. The Vehicle must be picked up within 5 days of the end of the Auction.
I encourage all bidders to come or send their representative to inspect this beautiful truckette.
