1977 Datsun Z-Series Description

1977 Datsun 280Z Special Decor Package, also known as the ZZZap Z. Only 1000 were delivered to the U.S. and that number was split between those equipped with an automatic trans, 4 spd. or 5 spd. This is an ultra rare A/C delete, cruise control 4 spd. car. 54410 original mile survivor. All stock and complete.Vehicle runs and drives, it's been treated to brand new injectors, plugs, fresh oil with an OEM Nissan oil filter and a brand new 84 month Nissan battery. Engine runs great, no smoke or leaks. Trans and clutch are good, as are the brakes. The suspension is still firm and tight, the vintage Goodyears and Pirellis have no dry rot, hold air fine and have plenty of tread. All lights, exterior and interior, work, including map and dome lights. Even the underhood inspection light works. Fan and heater system operate perfect. Wipers work fine. Correct exhaust system sounds great. This wonderfully original Z sports it's factory Sumitomo plug wires, factory Nissan hatch struts which still support the hatch fine. The spacesaver spare tire, jack, tool kit and Datsun inflator can are all present and have never been used. Vehicle has all the correct factory stickers and badges, along with the owners manual. The interior is all original and beautiful. All plastics, door cards, headliner and sunshades are excellent. Seats are amazing, with only a couple tears in driver's seat base. Carpet has a little sun fade and some thin spots in driver's footwell. Console is solid and original, dash is good except for the usual cracks. All glass is good, windshield has a chip but no cracking or spiderwebbing. This survivor has some rust bubbles that have popped. Every one has been treated with rust encapsulator. The worst area is under the hatch as shown in pics. It can be easily repaired and does not affect the structural integrity of the hatch. The decals have some sun fade and there is a couple dings, but the Sunshine Yellow paint still shines up great. All chrome trim is present, there is some expected pitting. Bumpers are straight but have some minor rust. She also has a couple usual Z car issues, factory radio, horn and clock do not work. The hazards work, but the turn signals do not. Hood release knob is broken, have a replacement on order, will go with car.Overall, this is an incredible Z. Beautifully original and runs great. You can drive as is or restore and really have a special collectible. Manual trans S30 coupes are the cars to have, great drivers cars. Don't miss out on this all original survivor.Vehicle is being sold as is, where is, with no warranty or guarantee.
