2005 Dodge SRT-4
2005 Dodge Neon Description
I am considering selling 2005 Dodge SRT-4. I don't want to sell it but I recently purchased an Evo so the SRT-4 hasn't been driven much lately. What makes my car unique is the fact that it is mostly in stock form. Most SRT-4's you find are heavily modified, this one is not. The car currently has 91k miles. Also, I have performed all major services to this car in the last 10k miles. Here is a list:
Replaced timing belt with OEM Mopar timing belt
Replaced Water Pump
Replaced Cam Seals
Replaced Spark Plugs with NGK plugs
Replaced Plug wires with OEM Mopar wires
Replaced Rotors with Slotted Stoptech Rotors
Replaced Brakes with OEM Mopar Brakes
Replaced worn steering wheel with New OEM Mopar Steering wheel
Replaced worn shift knob with New OEM Mopar Shift Knob
Replaced Air Filter with Mopar Performance Air Filter
Replaced worn shift linkage bushings so the shifter isn't sloppy (feels great!)
Replaced worn headlights with OEM style black housing headlights
Replaced worn fog lights with DEPO replacement fog lights
Replaced windshield wipers with OEM Mopar wipers
Oil changed with synthetic oil within the last 500 miles
Flushed the coolant and replaced with OEM Mopar coolant
Replaced transmission Fluid with OEM Mopar Transmission Fluid
Tires have less than 10k miles on them
Here are the few modifications done to the car:
Syked ECU (equivalent to the Mopar Stage 1 kit which is now obsolete)
Eibach Pro Kit Lowering Springs
Prothane Shorter end Link set to accommodate the lowering of the car
Prothane Engine Mount Inserts (to eliminate wheel hop)
180 Degree Thermostat
The OEM rims are plasti-dipped black. This black coating will peel right off if you don't like the black on black look.
This car does have some flaw which are all cosmetic. Here are the details:
The front bumper has a small crack from where the guy that owned it prior to me hit road debris
The paint is slightly chipping on the roof (has a great shine overall though)
The rear driver side door has a small dent (this can easily be repaired but I never got around to it)
The front driver seat has some wear which is common for these cars
The rear seat has a small tear (you can buy a used replacement on ebay for cheap)
The E on the Dodge label on the trunk is starting to fall off. The E looks like an F
The factory tent on the rear windows are starting to peel off
The OEM style black housing headlights hold moisture on a humid day
Overall, this is a rare car that is in perfect shape mechanically and very good shape cosmetically. It is very fun to drive and I still get complements from people around town. The exhaust sound of these cars are one of a kind, you will never have as much fun downshifting in another car.
